But I agree about the drafting. He has to hit on 1st and 2nd rounders more often than he does. I'm not saying he needs to tell us what our needs are. Just complaining about the constant "we're not spending money in FA so we can extend guys" 1 Quote

Neo Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago If there was ever a time to make a clear, strong, definitive statement about the calls, today was it. You can be respectful to refereeing in general and the league and still say “they blew two calls.” Beane is representing the league to the team and the fans. I’d like him to represent the team and the fans to the league. I’d also like to hear whether or not the league agree they blew a couple, of if they defended the calls. If they defended, I’d love to hear the analysis. So much of this is “you, the paying customer, aren’t going to hear what we talk about it.” I’d love to be a reporter. Quote
Roundybout Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Wow. This is pretty damning. Hopefully Keon gets that physicality back. 1 3 Quote

Even he couldn’t screw that up. 😂 Ye of little faith. He could screw it up. Need it to be 0 seconds to go. Edited 10 hours ago by Donuts and Doritos 1 2 1 Quote

Broader point...I DETEST the injury excuse. Injuries and players being out...and overcoming that...are literally a foundational part of the game. You would think the GM of an organization that LOST A SUPER BOWL TO A BACKUP QB would realize that. Edited 10 hours ago by RkFast 4 Quote
Back2Buff Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Finally a good question from a reporter, and a terrible answer from Beane. Prior to Keon getting hurt, he dropped a ball at the 5 yard that caused an INT vs Miami. He can cut that crap about this pre and post injury crap. 2 Quote
HOUSE Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago My question would be Why should fans believe anything will be different next year? Probably get thrown out of the presser. 6 2 1 2 Quote
SCBills Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Part of being a successful NFL player is the ability to play through injury. Too often this is the excuse for guys on our team, whether it's Rousseau with ankle injuries or this year's wrist pandemic... it's pretty common for players to announce surgery after the season. This isn't Bills-centric. If you're only a great player when you're fully healthy, you're not a great player. 1 4 2 Quote

MrEpsYtown Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago So here's the thing, and ofcourse I might be wrong, but next year will be very disappointing. I think this 4th loss to the Chiefs will be so debilitating that we go through a hangover year and struggle a bit and don't sniff the AFC championship game. Like next year is gonna be the year many were expecting this year. That step back. You still have the Chiefs, Healthy Burrow, the Pats will be much better, Herbert second year with Harbaugh, Stroud, Lamar, Denver will be better, the Raiders if they get a QB somehow will be better with Carroll, the Steelers are always a threat. AFC is shifting and Bills will likely get left behind if they don't make changes. Buffalo and this brain trust has just gotten stale and have not gotten the job done. I just don't see an avenue where that changes. After that disappointing year, at that point, I think these guys are done. 2 3 2 2 2 Quote

If Beane isn't lying and our cap space is to be set aside for extensions of the same guys who have been here 3-4 years and haven't made a difference in the postseason, well... I don't necessarily agree with you, but fear this is a potential outcome. 3 Quote
