If a "fan" is not allowed to be angry now, then when? I’m pretty certain that last year at this exact time you were whining about Beane’s press conference just as you are today — and you had absolutely no idea what he planned to do. That’s my point. JohnNord Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Beane did not really say very much but he never really does at the end of the year. He did sound more optimistic than last season which makes sense. What I took away was: Von Miller will be cut Not a ringing endorsement for Elam, but his might still be back. Don’t expect many big additions of offense. Expect more defensive additions in 2025 Edited 11 hours ago by JohnNord 4 1 Quote

I remember how awful we were for so many years I don’t these years for granted with Allen. I agree, there are definitely a few areas that need improvement within the team which almost everyone knows starting with a difference maker on the defensive line. I do feel next year should be an expectation to make the Super Bowl. I’d really like Beane to say that. Quote

You bring him back to compete for a spot, but you bring in guys to push him off the roster via draft and free agency. Quote
oldmanfan Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I watched the entire thing. He was clear that they are not going to blow everything up but analyze individual players and make decisions going forward. He emphasized his job is to put together teams that are competitive and give Josh a shot every year. He was clear next year will be a different team. When asked about why his top picks the past several years haven’t been difference makers yet, he acknowledged that Kincaid and Coleman, while young, have to step it up. 6 1 Quote

That’s my point. MY POST from Jan 25 of last year..... The TRUTH is that it is widely accepted around the entire NFL world that the Buffalo Bills organization and its culture is one of the best ones in the NFL, if not in ALL of pro sports in the US. Does that necessariliy translate to winning a championship? No. But the org is not some shoddy fly by night deal like you imply above. What McD and Beane have built is consdiered top tier around the league. And the idea that the Pegulas are "not in it for winning" doesnt wash, either. They invested a ton of money building what is consdered one of the best fitness centers in the NFL (https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-expect-world-class-sports-performance-center-to-enhance-their-game). They have laid out BIG contracts to free agents and to retain their own talent. Again...does that translate into winning? No. The Von contract is bad right now due ot his injuries. But its sure damn NOT for lack of trying. The effort to win is there. The MONEY is there. Edited 11 hours ago by RkFast Quote

That’s my point. I like beane and mcdermott, but as far as their offseasons go, they are pretty predictable. I think this time last year we all knew that there was a good chance we saw Diggs last game with the bills as well as poyer and hyde I think we all knew that White was a goner and we were probably going to repace them with younger and cheaper players becasue we had no cap. And we knew that particular players were going to get extensions. We knew they would let davis walk. The only real surprise was maybe mitch being cut. I think it is safe to say right now that most of our cap is going to be used to extend current players, re-sign hollins, most of the draft will be on defense, and they will sign competition for receiver. But nothing splashy or exciting. 1 1 Quote

It’s better to go all in and win one championship than stay the course and waste Josh Allen’s years as your QB. Their “process” doesn’t win championships, 8 years of winning none has proven that. Time to adopt a new philosophy and try and win instead of staying stubborn in your process. Guys he lies every year. He never tells the truth. And he should lie to us and the media. There is no upside to telling the truth. He has signed FA's every year. Even when they had no money last year he still got Samuel, brought back DQ, and traded for Cooper. He will be active this year. I just hope this year he mortgages the future for a big trade acquisition like he did with Diggs. That is what the defense needs to put us over the top. 1 Quote

They scored 32 points on us and didn’t try to score on the last drive. They also fumbled going in for more. If a team that has struggled on offense for 2 years effortlessly getting 32 on you is good enough, because of 2 punts? We don’t have the same standard for defensive performance. That’s fine. Agree to disagree. We forced 2 punts in 8 quarters in the most important games of the season. We will never win that way. 1 Quote

The Firebaugh Kid Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Anybody else evesdropping on these media members waiting for Sean? One of them just said he talked to Josh after and he said Dalton should've/could've caught the ball! They're saying Josh sucks at the RPO and that Reid/KC is a way better playcaller than Brady because he switches things up. Wow guys, hot mic. Hilarious really. I'm on a desktop computer at work with headphones on, crazy. Edited 11 hours ago by The Firebaugh Kid 1 Quote
