At Beane's press conference last year did you expect the Bills to jettison Diggs, Morse, Poyer, Hyde, Davis, etc.?

Of course you didn't, because Beane doesn't owe anyone any insight into how he's going to tweak the roster going forward.

Lighten up.

"Dont tell me what to do, Jimmy."

Also, we are +3 days out from another bad playoff loss. If a "fan" is not allowed to be angry now, then when?

Didn't they try something else? They signed Von Miller. They traded for Amari Cooper. Beane says these things, but there is a competitive advantage to keeping your plans under wraps. I hope he sees that he needs to bring in another elite player this year somehow, someway. An elite pass rusher. Just get it done whatever it takes.

In his time here he's brought in ONE big time free agent in Von...and paid a ridiculous overpay to do it.

Trading for Cooper is actually on point. He seems to make a trade near the draft almost every year. More times than not it's been a move for an offensive player that doesn't work out well. And the last two (Cooper and Hines) offensive players we traded for were very underused. Again on point.

Bunch of whiny Bs in this thread...not surprising.

Any fan would/should be thrilled to support this franchise.  I'm sure all of the nostra-dumbasses telling Beane what he should do and say manage billion dollar enterprises and are at the top of their profession.

Carry on, "fans"...

Only “super fans” like yourself get it.  You will have to excuse us mere mortals.

People complain about cooper usage - "Cooper probably needed surgery" - INJURY EXCUSE!

People complain about Coleman - "He's young" - HEARD THAT WITH EDMUNDS

A team... that was expected by many pundits to finish 3rd in the division... went to the AFC championship and almost knocked off a dynasty (7 AFC championships in 7 seasons is ridiculous)... and people want to fire the coach that got them there, and the GM who put the team together.

Agreed--we do get good talent late.  That's when you can find the very good players you need to have around elite guys.  The problem is we routinely miss on "elite" in 1st and 2nd round.

Save it, Ryan. So do the other ***** 31 teams. Chiefs "elite" players drafted outside of Mahomes are Kelce (2013) and Jones (2016) - Veach wasn't even the ***** GM for those drafts.

Adjustments need to be made, and have been made in each subsequent season since McDermott and Beane have been here. I'm sorry they happen to exist during what is going to be the greatest dynasty in NFL history.

McBeane are really ***** good, and KC is All-Time great. In the history of the league, really ***** good gets it done in every other era.

Because it's the same old story. Think it was Einstein who said insanity was doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

How many big time free agents have the chiefs brought in?  Maybe 2?  Thuney and Taylor?

There's too much praise for what they accomplished instead of anger at what they did not accomplish.

Nobody cares about division titles. Nobody cares about doing better than preseason expectations.

Did you get to and win a SB. No? Failed season. Especially with an elite QB.

Someone needs to come in and start aiming higher.

This is the exact mentality that destroys any fun people have watching sports and taking in sports commentary.

Or maybe you're right. Unless one of them wins the Superbowl, there's no difference between Joe Burrow and Nate Peterman.

Doom! Angst! Instant Gratification!

If the Bills didn't have Josh Allen, I would be ecstatic at what the Bills have accomplished under McBeane every season.  But if there was ever a player in the history of the NFL that deserved a SB ring it's him.  He came to Buffalo, embraced and embodied the city, became a generational talent, single handedly got the Bills a new stadium deal and elevated everyone in the franchise around him.   At this point I want a Lombardi more for Josh than I do for the Bills.   NFL careers are fleeting and he carried this team on his back for 6+ years but those around him need to stop letting him down.

Yes, but this is part of the issue. The Bills are pretty good picking players in the lower rounds, but poor from the top, Josh aside.

Certainly. As I've posted elsewhere, Elam is not fit for an NFL practice squad, and everyone else flashes but never seems to put it all together a complete season.

Beane, you've got to be better at hitting on our top draft picks.

You just can't be whiffing on picks years after year, especially top draft talent, and expect to remain in title contention.  It's going to catch up to you eventually and the only reasons it hasn't with this organization is Josh Allen and the fact we've been pretty successful in developing later round picks.

And...STOP trading with the Chiefs!!!!

See the difference there is they don't need to go that route because they actually have the ability to identify and draft impact players...and aren't afraid to make a big jump up the board to acquire them.

Wow. This is pretty damning. Hopefully Keon gets that physicality back.

Interesting how he did not use his name.  Beane said we did not see the same "player".   If you read between the lines he's distancing himself and he's pissed.

Being upset is fine. I know I am. But (imo) it comes off better if you do it like an adult as opposed to a spoiled child having a fit.

Yet, the team has run into the same wall for 4 years now. They CANT have a "run it back, we are already great" mentality. Thats a recipe for disaster and seems to be what Beane plans to do based on his passive comments in this PC.

THAT is what is angering me (and others).

Even with the refs really screwing us, a few different plays calls or better execution (Kincaid catch on 4th down) and we win the game. We are so so close. We don’t need significant change as many here seem to be implying. If we do that, chances are we change for the worse, not the better and we waste prime Josh Allen years worse than we are now. There is no guarantee a big shakeup will result in better performance. The fact of the matter is our team has been dominant 5 years running with the highest point differential in the league. We just need better play calling and more elite talent to make/execute the plays in the biggest moments.

More than a major shakeup we need tactical tweaks to put us over the top.

I’m on the opposite spectrum of all of you who can’t get past the pain of the loss and are expressing your pain as, “burn it down, we need major change”. What you don’t realize is, the chances are high that the major change will be in the wrong direction. I think we have a great coach, great GM, and the most gifted QB. We just need more elite talent, which means better drafting in the first and second round. But even with that being said, Beane has built an incredible roster and has done such an amazing job with late round picks.

I’m just glad we have an owner who DOESN’T think like all of those who can’t get past of the pain of the loss.

The "we're picking low every year" excuse is pathetic. So you're admitting you don't know how to draft elite players?

I mean, the later the pick in the round, the less of a chance of finding an elite player. Just saying.
