So here's the thing, and ofcourse I might be wrong, but next year will be very disappointing. I think this 4th loss to the Chiefs will be so debilitating that we go through a hangover year and struggle a bit and don't sniff the AFC championship game. Like next year is gonna be the year many were expecting this year. That step back.

You still have the Chiefs, Healthy Burrow, the Pats will be much better, Herbert second year with Harbaugh, Stroud, Lamar, Denver will be better, the Raiders if they get a QB somehow will be better with Carroll, the Steelers are always a threat. AFC is shifting and Bills will likely get left behind if they don't make changes.

Buffalo and this brain trust has just gotten stale and have not gotten the job done. I just don't see an avenue where that changes.

After that disappointing year, at that point, I think these guys are done.

This is why I think they gotta go and get a premier player on defense if who nothing else brings a different vibe and belief that it’s gonna be different this year because we got him.

The "we're picking low every year" excuse is pathetic. So you're admitting you don't know how to draft elite players?

Nah bro, 10 months from now the McD sunshine pumpers will tell us how he's evolved and how this version of McBeane is different once we beat the hapless Dolphins again and win our division... or maybe we score another meaningless victory over the Chiefs.

"I dont see the need to tear it down" - Beane.

Sure, Brandon...the Big Nickel "BBDB" defense that failed five times in the playoffs? Roll it out as-is again.

This presser is starting to get me angry......

I am so tired of the "run it back, focus on re-signing our own at the cost of getting quality FAs, promote from within" mentality of this franchise.

We tried that. It didn't work. Maybe time to try something else.

These guys are so afraid of any kind of change.

Bunch of whiny Bs in this thread...not surprising.

Any fan would/should be thrilled to support this franchise.  I'm sure all of the nostra-dumbasses telling Beane what he should do and say manage billion dollar enterprises and are at the top of their profession.

Carry on, "fans"...

I had to remind myself that we win 11+ games every year.

Yet, the team has run into the same wall for 4 years now. They CANT have a "run it back, we are already great" mentality. Thats a recipe for disaster and seems to be what Beane plans to do based on his passive comments in this PC.

THAT is what is angering me (and others).

Wow. This is pretty damning. Hopefully Keon gets that physicality back.

I mean, it's hard to win battles when your inability to separate leads to being bracketed by 2 DBs.  Really, that's the issue to me.

Chris Jones - 2nd round pick

Travis Kelce - 3rd round pick

George Karlaftis - 2nd round pick

Trent McDuffie - Late 1st Round Pick

Isiah Pacheco - 7th round pick

Leo Chenal - 3rd round pick

Rashee Rice - 2nd round pick

Xavier Worthy - Late 1st round pick

It's such a pathetic excuse.

Yup, we're doomed, everything sucks, yadda yadda yadda.

The good news is, think of all the time we will save if we know in advance it’s not worth watching!

I AM "thrilled to support this franchise." Got my Bills sneakers on right now. But I do not like...AT ALL...the tone of this press conference. I can do two things at once (usually).

Chris Jones, Trent McDuffie, Xavier Worthy, Leo Chenal, Nick Bolton, George Karlaftis etc., all "drafted low"

Please. They aren’t losing the equivalent of Diggs, Davis, Morse, White, Hyde and Poyer this offseason.  Next year’s schedule is fairly favorable (hardest games are at home), they are bringing a record setting offense back pretty much intact (including the OC), they have specific needs on defense (DL and DB’s), at least some space under the cap (which was not true last season) and a ton of draft picks, including three in the first two rounds. Next year’s team will be better than this year’s team. Whether that translates to a better finish we’ll have to wait and see.

I highly suggest folks listen to the presser for themselves rather than go by what posters in this thread are concluding.

For example...Beane said he doesn't think things need to be blown up. (Like many on this board...fire everyone.)  He did say they will look at individual players etc so he did not say they will stand pat.

At Beane's press conference last year did you expect the Bills to jettison Diggs, Morse, Poyer, Hyde, Davis, etc.?

Of course you didn't, because Beane doesn't owe anyone any insight into how he's going to tweak the roster going forward.

Lighten up.

excuse machine in overdrive today.  There is a thing called trading-up.  Also, there are elite players there, just ask any team with an elite QB.  KC drafted Humphries (likely HOF player) in the 2nd.  Bean took Basham.  TJ Watt, late first round pick.  Gee, oh, Lamar Jackson, late first round pick.

In 2022 after we took Elam, the next three picks were pro bowl players: OT Tyler Smith, C Tyler Lindenbaum, and DE Jermaine Johnson II.

There's too much praise for what they accomplished instead of anger at what they did not accomplish.

Nobody cares about division titles. Nobody cares about doing better than preseason expectations.

Did you get to and win a SB. No? Failed season. Especially with an elite QB.

Someone needs to come in and start aiming higher.
