Think (Vic Fangio, Jim Schwartz, Mike Pettine, etc) I know those guys specifically are probably out of the question obviously but I want a total new voice to be in charge of the defense. I do not want to watch another season of the soft shell, passive zone defense. I want a guy that sets the tone and makes QBs uncomfortable. This scheme has been figured out. Please change it. The good QBs have to much time and the good offenses move the ball at will on us. Agree. The soft zone stuff hasn’t worked. The talent level is good enough. This desperate talk of selling the ranch to get a game wrecker is not necessary. Our poor performance in the last game has resulted in reckless opinions. I’m thankful that our GM and won’t be reckless when it comes to player decisions. Just need a couple changes to be more disruptive. There’s no shutting down KC and the other great teams. No matter what approach on D, our offense is the key and priority. Overall, our team this year was the best since the Kelly days. Give Coleman another year of learning and a healthy Kincaid, and maybe add a burner, and we’ll be cooking. Being healthy at the end has been the biggest hurdle. 1 Quote

Expecting guys to get home isn’t realistic. Truly, you need to blitz. A lot. That’s the answer. Get up tight on WRs when the ball comes out fast and confuse them with blitzes. You are NOT going to get there with 4. It’s not 1975. The Qb is getting rid of the ball in 2 sec. That’s why this defense sucks. The guy is stuck in a different era. Those pass rushers will be neutralized. You need to send pressure and confuse the QB. The scheme Is the problem Git er done eh Hey guys the real difference btw bills a chiefs is Chris Jones. We need our own Jones. He’s a true game changer eh. We don’t have one of those. 1 Quote
stuvian Posted Monday at 06:22 AM Posted Monday at 06:22 AM (edited) Signing big names is exciting and gives us something to talk about but has it ever worked? Only as a missing ingredient but not as a long-term strategy. A better question is how is it that the Rams find premier talent in Middle rounds from small schools. Maybe our scouting could use an overhaul. Remember the Buddy Nix days when all our draft picks were from southern schools? We got some good players but few had played cold weather football. I'll give the Bills credit in that they continue to look for ways to improve without blindly throwing money around. Our move to a run first offense resulted in more wins and fewer turnovers. I like the braintrust in our front office and think they will find ways of making the team better. Edited Monday at 06:23 AM by stuvian Quote

I don't care about salary cap and I don't care much about draft picks. Do what it takes to get Garrett out of Cleveland or at the very least Crosby out of Vegas. Crosby, I think will cost a little less but we have to take a swing. On top of that, Khalil Mack is a free agent. Again, I don't care about Salary cap and I don't trust finding the right player in the draft. We have already tried this numerous times and it isn't working. I would feel better with a known commodity. I know it's a long shot that we sign both. But if I'm Beane, I'm taking a swing on both. If we give up 2 first round picks for Garrett, I don't care. If there is a player to do that for, he is the guy. Crosby would probably be at least 1 first round pick. Make the moves, get to Mahomes and that's it. We will never get past them if we don't KC ran a quick pass game. Pass rush wouldn’t have made a difference, especially since Elam was playing so far off receivers. They would’ve had to overwhelm the O-line with 7 or 8 rushers. 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted Monday at 08:04 PM Posted Monday at 08:04 PM Miles Garrett again has requested a trade. I’ll take Garrett or Crosby. I’ve had it with this heartbreaks year after year. We can draft our other defensive replacements and fast WR. Even with giving away a 1st and 2nd, we still have enough to replenish the team. If we can grab one, we can let Von say goodbye, and god bless him for what he tried to do to help this team. Quote
