Yeah it's 100% all speculation lol

Josh Allen was adamant since college his goal is to play his entire career with one franchise

Since getting here all he has said is he dreams of winning a super bowl and retiring a bill

He's either a liar or sincere

And if he leaves all his Goodwill in Buffalo is forever gone he will never be on the wall of fame he will never be mentioned again

His upbringing tells me he's not willing to do that

I think that's melodramatic. Especially as this fan base cannot wait to jump on his back if he lowers his in-game play from Superman.

If the Bills go through the same cycle over the next two to three years with the same result, then I think fans will be sympathetic with him if he pushes to move elsewhere.

It's not melodramatic

There are millions of Bills fans outside of Buffalo

The ones in Buffalo will never turn on him lol we have statues of him, we put him on street signs

He eats for free

He is the role model to hundreds of thousands of boys and girls in Western New York

Playing football in Buffalo is not like playing football in Los Angeles or San Francisco or even Kansas City or New York

It is extremely personal... Buffalo is the only NFL city where the standard greeting is go _ insert team name... People say go bills for goodbye

People don't say goodbye in Buffalo.. they say go bills

It's like college football in the SEC it's a way of life it's not a game

And that's just to show how much we care about our bills.. it's a family thing it's tradition

My grandfather passed it on to my father who passed it on to me.. it chooses you

It’ll lower his cap hit by a lot for a couple years. My guess is he’ll be the highest paid player in NFL history.

8 years $500 million.

And worth every penny.

I'm going to vomit Josh isn't going anywhere

The City of Buffalo embraced Josh Allen and his family

He's literally became a Buffalonian, he deserves all the love the region gives him

He'll never be the king of San Francisco or Los Angeles... But he's the role model to hundreds of thousands of kids across Western New York

Not to mention the bills did help develop Josh Allen

We deserve Josh and he deserves all the love the city gives him

Lol. Brady left the same situation in Boston and won a SuperBowl elsewhere.  They hate him now.

Josh is amazing for Buffalo but money is money.

They have to extend him this year with a massive guaranteed amount of money this year and spread the cap hit. If they don't they have very little cap room.

Tom Brady left at 40

You can't even compare that ... Josh leaving at 40 is a completely different story than Josh leaving at 31

Which again Josh is not willing to burn all those bridges.. there's a reason Jim Kelly still lives here

It's because once you're embraced in a way nobody ever has you don't leave it

Stafford wasn't embrace this way in Detroit.. even Tom Brady did not get embraced the way Buffalo embraces Josh

They don't care about as football as much... Josh is the mayor of Buffalo the king, The general and everything in between

It's like playing football at Alabama

He should receive a contract extension by the middle of the upcoming season. If one is not announced by the end of the season, it would mean he’s gone, and the Bills will start the new stadium without Josh but with four Beane selected first-round draft picks instead.

It's not just about the money; he understands that the team isn’t willing to make the same sacrifices he is to win a championship. Firing Beane and McDermott will be difficult, but sometimes you have to make tough decisions, just like running through a linebacker.

IMO, I think Josh needs to have a long and hard conversation with Sean, Beane, and Pegula. If things don't change with Sean, he deserves an out.  I don't want him ever to leave, but he deserves better.  I would prefer an offensive coach.  Again, just stating my opinion.

Because offense has been our problem all these years?

Signed through the 2028 season, I am guessing you’re more likely to see a restructure instead of an extension.

This next season has the highest cap hit at 63 mil, and I could see Beane wanting to convert this into signing bonus and spread it out down the road.

I don’t think there is a hurry to extend him right now.

It would make sense if we have a monster contract to sign for a new talent, say Higgins or Metcalf (I think DK would be much cheaper and cost a pick) or Crosby or Hendricks (dude from Cincy who was in NO before) or whoever.  I'd bet his agent would want him to not extend now tho, maybe just restructure for cap games.

Dude is good.  Retire and go play golf. NFL has become WWE.

To be honest I am worried he will have an epiphany like Barry Sanders did and retire early.

At some point he is going to say he has done all he can and if he feels there is just no way to get to, or win, a superbowl then he might.  All he wants to do is win a championship .

I haven't seen him act the way at a post season presser.  He was exceptionally depressed and frustrated.

I've always secretly thought he might retire if he won a Super Bowl, even of it came before he turned 30. Just seems like he's got a whole life outside of football and doesn't really need it.

Will the team break his spirit before he even gets to win one? Time will tell!

It wouldn't surprise me if Josh is the first Billion contract professional athlete.

Mahomes will get that before Josh.  He has multiple Super Bowls

The bills will want the extension, Allen and his camp will want the restructure

We will see the restructure , next off season will be the extension in my opinion

I agree.

The Bills play everything safe and feel as though the known is better than the unknown.

Yeah...the next guy could be worse. But what do we know for a fact? They are 0-4 against KC. Defensive HC's D has been shredded each time. Allen has been very good to great in each game.

Stats don't lie. We are past the point of just believing they will eventually get by KC in the postseason. That isn't the way things work. In order to have a result change, the process needs to change.

That’s what I think. 12 years $1b, with real value actually being 10 years at $800m.   Sounds crazy but it’s where things are headed.

josh comes across as man who wants rings. imo...will get paid but will leave enough so everyone can eat.

he is not leaving.

my concern is cookie.

A large pay raise for Allen is in Hailee’s prenup, so count on it!

That might be why it gets done now.  Maybe see deferred cash in this thing too for tax reasons (if allowed by NFL).  This is going to be an interesting contract.

I have no idea if there is a limit on the length of the contract but if I am Bills I offer him 20 years 1 billion total, and I am not kidding. He is easily worth $50 million a year to us. We can simply have the rolling bonus structure that lets us push off the salary cap for years and we as Bills fans will pay the price the year he leaves, which hopefully is around 20 years from now. We basically can lock him up forever and for a reasonable price. Obviously the major concern is an injury, but I still do it.
