The Bills switched to the red helmets before Kelly. It was 1984 that they went to the red helmets. I think the reason was to help Ferguson find the WR's easier and throw less INT's.

I would be up for getting rid of the color rush.

 

Maybe create an alternate kit that is a throwback to the 90s to be used 1 game a season. 

 

 

The Bills' uniforms are pretty classy and honestly should never change.  I was skeptical of the white helmet when they made that change, but it is a great look.

If we do not create an alternate Kelly era throwback uni for the final year in Rich/Ralph/Highmark to say goodbye in the final season of the old stadium, then the business / marketing / design team is insane.

 

Have one or two games with these alternates per year and that’s all I ask.

The red helmet is OK for one game a year, but the white helmet is better. The charging buffalo stands out more on the white helmet. IMHO

Actually, we did go 0-4 with the red helmet. Those were our SB years.
