Dr. Who Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I think eight days from the actual draft, the programs are just throwing some randomized non-sense out. Algorithms and AI and all that is not really prudential. Anyway, it's not much help in predictive gaming if it gives one highly unlikely possibilities, but fun nonetheless at some utterly trivial level. Here, the DT fell to 30 and the CB that probably gets taken at 30 in the real world shows up at 56. Then the other DT is still sitting there at 62. For Edge, I went with the hyphenated names strategy. 30. Derrick HarmonDT Oregon 56. Trey AmosCB Ole Miss 62. Kenneth GrantDT Michigan 109. Dont'e ThorntonWR Tennessee 132. CookieG Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Not happy with how the Cb choices fell, but I had to go quantity over quality, with the hope that one of them works out. Other needs, it didn't turn out bad. Doubled up on a number of positions 30. Derrick Harmon DT Oregon- Nolen and Grant were already taken, so it made the choice easy. It was going to be between those three anyway. 56. Jack Sawyer DE Ohio State- Based on production, esp. late year production while looking for the ever elusive pass rush. 62. Xavier Watts Saf Notre Dame- Mr. Instincts. Will probably be a day 1 starter. 109. Ashton Gillote DE Louisville- The Angry Bird. Hell of a lower body and knows how to jolt an OT. More than worth a shot at 109. 132. Tai Felton WR Maryland- speed to the outside with a 4.38 40. Could use a few pounds, but can get open deep and draw safeties from the middle of the field. 169. Jamaree Caldwell DT Oregon- Stout with a great first step, can add some run plugging on a rotational basis. More than one person has said, "I was watching tape on Harmon, and it was Caldwell that really stuck out. 170. Cobee Bryant CB Kansas 173. Jordan Hancock CB Ohio State 177. Bilhal Kone CB Western Michigan 206 Justin Walley CB Minn let 'em fight it out and hope one of them emerges. Or take the best traits of each and build one NFL starting CB. Quote

Starks is a top 10 guy in this class for me. Don't love Farmer but Revel and Swinson at those spots are great value. Like Smith late and Bartholomew is one of @gonzo1105's sleeper guys and I trust his judgment! Would prefer a different receiver. Lane to me is a slot guy 4 Quote

turbo044 Posted Wednesday at 07:22 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:22 PM My Favorite one - focusing on guys the Bills have had interest in: 36. Kenneth Grant - Trade down and picking up a later pick DT Michigan 53. Trey Amos - Slight Trade up to grab the last "must have" cb left on the board CB Ole Miss 62. Jalen Royals - a lot of love for him lately WR Utah State 109. Kyle Kennard EDGE South Carolina 126. Oronde Gadsden II - not a particular need but speed kills TE Syracuse 169. Nohl Williams - doubling up on CB's - this guy is really good value here CB California 170. Jake Majors - interior line depth OC Texas 173. Jaydon Blue - doubt he'll still be available at #173, but he was in this mock and speed kills once again RB Texas 177. Ty Hamilton - solid value here, 2nd DT - multiple interviews and visit with Buffalo DT Ohio State 206. Alex Mastromanno - comes to camp as best punter on the team P Florida State 13 minutes ago, DasNootz said: 39. Shavon Revel CB East Carolina 47. Xavier Watts S Notre Dame 78. Like Revel, but out 1st pick better be an impact this year and Revel might not be 100% until next year 2. Watts - great pick but we had to give up both 2nd's to move up 9 picks to get him?? 3. Higgins - not my favorite - rather get Royals or Williams 4. Turner - would not be happy if he's our only add to DT 5. 2 linebackers and no EDGE, only one DT, No RB's and no OL? 6. Q? see #5 Quote
No_Matter_What Posted Wednesday at 08:46 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:46 PM (edited) I don't do online mock drafts but we just had one in my local community. At 30 I traded down with Eagles for picks 32 + 134. At 32 I traded down with Titans for picks 35 + 120. It was only one round, so I technically did not pick, but Browns stayed at 33 and were ready to pick QB, and I was guaranteed to pick either Amos or Hairston at 35 (Grant went at 10 lol and it was the only crazy thing that happened). So CB at 35 and then picks 56 + 62 in the second round 109 + 120 + 132 + 134 in the fourth round With all these picks Beane could make any trade up in the second round or get into the third (or both). I really hope he'll be able to pull of something similar. Edited Wednesday at 08:49 PM by No_Matter_What Quote

I don’t think he’ll come close to #30. Lol I just posted that we had local community draft and Grant went at 10 which was shocking to me. But apparently some people have him that high. Quote

Would prefer a different receiver. Lane to me is a slot guy Dont'e Thornton to Ravens at 203, Isaac Teslaa to Dolphins at 224. Picking the safety at 30 had a domino effect on the draft. Mukuba at 132 would have been a coup. Kabeldue at that slot makes a hell of a lot more sense than McLaughin at 169 where you get your WR5 with upside instead. Brashard Smith is fine for 177 until you see Jaydon Blue at 187... I know they didn't do trade ups here but I would hope if Beane sees Chris Paul at 160 he goes and gets him instead of settling for Kobe King at 170. Quote
