Somewhere in one of these threads @LEBills has a pretty devastating analysis of Williams. He's a definite "no" for me. 2 1 Quote
RyanC883 Posted Saturday at 02:56 PM Posted Saturday at 02:56 PM wanted to see what happened if I took a WR first. Here are the results. A bit light at DT, but the Edges and LB look nice. Offense upgrades at WR and RB replacement for Cook. Thoughts? 15 hours ago, OldTimer1960 said: If they wait until where they sit in round 2, they will be lucky to even get Porter. They could be looking at worse options at CB by then. Now, to be clear I’m not excited about trading up in round 2 because I don’t like the idea of trading both 4ths and I very much don’t want to trade next year’s 1 or 2. I agree about not trading up in Rd. 2. I also think a guy drafted later like Alexander form LSU could contribute this season. Dane Jackson is a NFL CB2, so I'm really not getting the hate here. With a solid DL, I think safety may be more of an issue. Some nice guys also available later in the draft. Quote

I’m happy he is back as a reserve, but I hope he isn’t starting. 1 1 Quote

My current, but still changeable view on WR is that I'd take Bond in the second for the speed, even though he's obviously not a perfect boundary receiver. And I've been convinced that Kyle Williams might be worth a shot later. It doesn't seem to me that the fella we would want is necessarily in this draft; maybe Golden, but I wouldn't trade up to get him. I was keen on Jayden Higgins for a while, but I doubt he has explosive play ability, though he's more athletic than some give him credit for. 1 Quote

In the case of this discussion, let's say it's DT over CB. And let's say the board is falling in a way that 56 is just a tad low for CB. Well, you could trade 56 and 109 in Round 4 and move up 10 picks to 46. And you'd still have 62 in Round 2 and 132 in Round 4 as well. We have 7 picks on Day 3 and 10 picks in total. 10 players aren't making this roster. You can move up in Round 2 without sacrificing the other pick. Those late 5ths and the 6th are unlikely to get much in trade and they are pretty late to hope for much more than getting lucky and finding 1 decent player out of those 4 picks. My $.02 worth is use a couple of those 5ths to improve the spot of one of the 4ths. Alternatively, you could package 2 of the 5ths and get about to the middle of round 4 - thereby having 3 4th round picks. Edited Saturday at 07:01 PM by OldTimer1960 1 Quote

Was happy to get Higgins in the second and Bryant in the 4th. Really hit on some 1T's who are available later in the draft, and solidified backup LB. Would have liked to get a CB and/or S, but none matched up with BPA. A top EDGE from a school so small would be a first in the business based on last year’s ESPN’s rankings. Risky. Almost anll are from big time schools. Except Maxx 1 Quote
H2o Posted Sunday at 11:38 AM Posted Sunday at 11:38 AM (edited) Made a couple of trades to move back. Picked up a 2nd and 4 3rd's in the process. I know this would NEVER work out this way, but one can dream 56. Walter Nolen / DT / Ole Miss 62. Alfred Collins / DT / Texas 63. Darien Porter / CB / Iowa State 66. Bradyn Swinson / EDGE / LSU 71. Elic Ayomanor / WR / Stanford 93. Gunnar Helm / TE / Texas 95. CJ West / DT / Indiana 169. Kyle McCord / QB / Syracuse 170. Teddye Buchanan / LB / California This would give us a upper tier 3-tech prospect, an upper tier 1-tech prospect, an upper tier CB prospect, an upper tier DE prospect, a solid WR prospect who is being heralded as a sleeper by some, a CLEAR upgrade on Quintin Morris (and a TE who could develop into much more), another 1-tech guy with solid potential, a backup QB prospect, and the ole LB/ST's guy. I'm thinking Collins could go in the top half of the round though. I'm getting a vibe that there is going to be a fierce run on DTs this draft because of the Eagles performance. #CopyCatLeague Edited Sunday at 01:17 PM by TheBeaneBandit 1 Quote

Henderson was simply BPA when my turn came up (Also thinking about not being able to afford Cook). Coach Addae coached Zy Alexander....swapped some picks in the fourth and fifth to not overdraft a couple of guys. Wanted to pair Harmon with Caldwell...Homer draft for Dolac...couldn't help myself.
