Here is a mock from somone named Ben Standing at the athletic.  I did not realize Mike Green has two sexual assaults possibly hanging over his head.  If Beane were to trade up for a guy in that situation he should be fired.

26. *Buffalo Bills (via Rams): Mike Green, Edge, Marshall

(Projected trade: Bills acquire No. 26 from Rams for Nos. 30 and 109)

The Bills (10 picks) get ahead of the Ravens and Lions in pursuit of edge-rusher help. Free-agent signing Joey Bosa is Greg Rousseau’s tag-team partner for 2025, while Green, last season’s FBS leader with 17 sacks, adjusts going from the Thundering Herd to the NFL. Green could be among the first 15 picks if teams are comfortable with his off-the-field controversies.

I've seen him in teens in some drafts, but they better make dam sure he's clear of those charges

As a ND fan, I can't abide any mock draft including Riley Leonard. It's possible that coaching/gameplanning is at least partially to blame (when they finally opened things up Leonard flashed in unexpected ways) for the offense's passing issues, but Leonard was too often just a slow running back. Slow/reluctant processing. What I despise in the Bills current backup QB, Trubisky. Not to mention Leonard's like brainless public persona.

lol, now next time tell us how you really feel.

Seriously, though, thanks for the fan insight. I don’t watch a ton of college ball so it is appreciated.

I'd rather take Princely. 6'4+ 260-265. ...in the 2nd

I'd take Princely over Ezeiruaku every day of every week and wouldn't think twice about it. I know that isn't the consensus, and that's fine. But if Ezeiruaku had played in the SEC he is a 5 sack guy IMO.

Interesting- do you feel that is because he isn’t fast for his lack of size?  I don’t like him at 30, but I think he can be somewhat effective as a pass rush technician- I know he probably already is maxed out.

So our starting CB opposite Benford will be a competition between basically a 5th Round Pick and Dane Jackson?

I hope you're not coming for Beane's job...

Hopefully he signs Gilmore to a 1 year deal after the draft to hold the fort til next year. I would be ok with that. The consensus of need is CB, DT, DE, and WR. The hard truth is we're going to miss out on at least one of them in the draft. Sure we me may draft that position, but it'll be a 3rd tier guy at best.

Yea it is the maxed out point that worries me. He is good technically. I just worry about whether that technique is going to be enough to win consistently against better competition. I see him as a guy who will play his keys, be fundamentally sound, take advantage when tackles whiff and get some clean up sacks when other DL create havoc. But in terms of him individually as a pure pass set pass rusher.... he just doesn't wow me and I don't know what more there is to come.

What round was Benford drafted?

I get your angle, but you can't count on getting lucky like that every draft. For every Benford and Milano, there is about a four year gap before lightning strikes again.

I'm beginning to like Mondon as our LB pick.  Also love the Higgins WR pick and the Edge picks.

On the other hand, I'm beginning to shy away from Harmon.  He only has 1 year of productivity in College, and he seems to be more of a 3T than 1T.  Would rather take something else there and get his fellow DT Caldwell later in the draft as the 1T.

Admittedly a little heavy on Buckeyes but I do believe in the Rosman approach of drafting the best players from the best teams.  I wanted Hairston for his excellent speed.  Paul is a LB the Bills have been talking with and Royals has very good outside speed.

We can't count on Beane to find a starting CB in the 1st.

Today from NFL Draft Buzz.  Grant and the top WRs were gone by pick 30.  Nolen seems like a nice consolation.  Harmon was still there, but I'd go Nolen over Harmon.

Meaning what? Bc Elam was a bust the one time Beane drafted a CB in the 1st that means every 1st Round level talent CB prospect from here on out is destined to bust?

You're making Elam and Benford absolutes for what happens when you Draft a CB in their prospective rounds. That's not how the Draft works. And it's literally the opposite of what is more likely.

For the record, I'm not trying to pigeon hole a 1st Round Pick at CB. If the value isn't there, pick somewhere else.

But IMO they can't wait until the end of Round 4 to address the position with what's on the roster and who's left on the veteran market. With the way things are, you need to walk away with a guy by the Pick 62 at the latest.

Look we're all scarred from the Elam pick but the dude needs to learn to live life again 😆
