gonzo1105 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Bills apparently met with Landon Jackson again before his pro day. Seems the Bills have met with him numerous times. Killed the combine, tape is good not great, feel we need someone with more bend but the Bills are seriously considering him for sure 3 1 Quote

I think he has a lot more than what has been seen. I think he would be a great fit in Buffalo. 😁 Based upon a few mocks I've done, he has been drafted before 30 though.🥲 1 Quote

I wouldn’t hate it but probably would be disappointed it wasn’t one of the players left on the board 1 Quote

It might be a similar case of trying to nail down a difficult evaluation more than a sign that they love the player. 3 1 1 Quote

More twitch and bend would be my preference too. 1 Quote

From what I remember for the fall their were a few reports that he didn't interview that well and there were concerns about his passion for the game. Skinny frame too. Quote
frogger Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Good morning gents, this is my latest mock using nfldraftbuzz.com (the file is too big to fit, so I’m writing it out, sorry) 30-Kenneth Grant-DT 56-Nick Emmanwori-S 62-Maxwell Hairston CB 109 Demetrius Knight Jr LB 132~Darius Alexander DT 169 Dont’e Thornton JR WR 170-Dorian Strong CB 173-Oluwafemi Okazaki-Edge 177-Dylan Fairchild OG 206-Orande Gadsden JR TE how I justify my picks; Grant was a best value in a need position. Very surprised to find him sitting at 30. Emmanwori, pure value, his measurables are elite, again this won’t happen, but it was nice to see. Imagine what McDermott could do with that. Hairston-fast corner, could allow more man coverage, NFL ready Knight-have to accept that that Milano can’t play forever. And I’d like to get Spencer off this team. Alexander-in light of the PED, this is a important pick, I’d keep Carter and Alexander on the team for the first 6 weeks, if one is playing better, I trade the other or release him. Thornton Jr is a 6’4” WR, with a lot of speed. I’d keep him to run just deep patterns. Strong is a solid corner, good depth piece Oladejo-pass rusher, need after PED suspensions. Rotational guy. Fairchild-best value, older prospect, but has been very good playing in the SEC…not sure what the future is for Edwards and we can’t pay the going rates for a top interior Guard…insurance Gadsden Jr- really just an FU to Miami, undersized TE, with play making ability. Could be the 3rd TE what I also should have done: RB, in case the cook thing goes south. Quote

I don't dislike Landon Jackson, but I'm not excited for him at the end of the first. I would like for the Bills to trade down out of the first maybe 10-15 spots and throw in their later 4th round pick and end up with 3 2nds and a mid-3rd while retaining their early 4th. I think the pickings will be similar between pick 30 and 40-45 - they could still take a CB, DE or possibly still have their pick of 1T at 40-45. 1 Quote

In the mock I had the option between Hairston, Alexander and Porter…I like all three, Hairston is just so athletic and younger than porter Quote

quincy Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Here is one I just did on PFN What I have seen recently is that at least 85% of the time both Williams and Grant at DT make it to our pick. Sawyer seems to have fallen around 70 spots since the combine. 31. Kenneth Grant DT Michigan 56. J.T. Tuimoloau EDGE Ohio State 62. Alfred Collins DT Texas 95. Dorian Strong CB Virginia Tech 110. Nohl WilliamsCB California That’s a quality trade down. We’ll be celebrating if those first 4 picks hit like that. I think Alfred Collins will go a lot higher though. I would prioritize Grant and Collins over Harmon. Getting 1 of the first two + another DT within the first 4 rounds would be a home run IMO. That said, I’d sign up for your picks right now. I’m a bit off my rocker, I’d get Grant even if a trade up is needed. Then I’d do the exact same for Collins if he makes it to Round 2 Can you imagine those 2 together against the run?!?! Could also do a 5 man staggered front as a pass rush package with them both out there next to Ed, Greg and Joey. Pocket implosion. I’m so tired of the interior DL being gashed or completely invisible when it matters. Having those 2 monsters rotating in the middle and together….no one will run all over us ever again. It would transform the entire defense. 2 Quote

Very good analysis, I kind of forgot they were very interested in Franklin last year and they passed on him at what many would have considered "good" value. I like Jackson as a prospect, he's a power edge rusher with a lot of physical upside. I wouldn't hate him in round 2. Get Grant or T. Williams at pick 30 to sure up the Interior DL and then go with Jackson for upside/depth off the edge and still have a 2nd left over to grab a corner or receiver. Quote
