RyanC883 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 today's morning draft. Interesting taking a LB in the first round, but he was the clear BPA when the pick was up. Really happy with the whole draft, and think the first 4-5 are clear 1st year contributors. Quote

Not saying I want to get rid of Cook, I don't think anyone does. But I'd be inclined to trade him as part of a Garrett package. I want to keep Cook, but I would send him with pick 30 for Dexter Lawrence. I would also target Slayton....and maybe think about a short prove it deal to Ojulari. Draft DT and a big, strong Edge. I really believe in Solomon. Maybe sign a Reddick post draft. Affordable moves I would think. 2 Quote

I think McCord instantly is an upgrade at backup QB for us. I think he is a sneaky pick that someone will take in the 2nd. I think it's Ward, Sanders, Dart, then McCord. Quote

Keeping vet guys like Mitch just seems like wasting of money going forward. No to a 3rd rounder, which we need to find a way into, but 4th on sure. 2 Quote
Magox Posted March 5 Posted March 5 This is one of my draft man crushes. I think he's going to end up being the best or second best pass rusher this draft. He just has all the moves and produces against top competition. I'd be happy to draft him. 1 1 1 Quote

My rule this year in mocks is every trade offered by the Chiefs, I accept. Just like Beane. This was one with 3 trades with KC where I picked up most of their 2026 draft (R3, R5, R6, R7). Honestly, was pretty happy with it. Chiefs got these 3 guys with 30, 56, 62: Walter Nolen, Isaiah Bond, and Harold Fannin, who are already in the NFL Hall Of Fame as a result. 2 Quote
RyanC883 Posted Thursday at 04:33 PM Posted Thursday at 04:33 PM (edited) here is my morning draft. I feel that the early picks can get on the field soon and provide impact (first 5, really). The others provide high-upside development and future potential starters, including Lindenberg, Biggers (1T--1st year rotation there also is possible), Slater, Gadsen II (potential Kincaid replacement if needed to trade him away), and Crawford. 19 hours ago, nosejob said: I'm no expert, just watched some combine. If we want a legit vet backup, I'd love J. Winston. Yeah, INTs, but he also moves the ball. Seems like the guy you win 50-60% of games with if Allen missed time. RyanC883 Posted Monday at 05:28 PM Posted Monday at 05:28 PM Today's mock. This one seems a bit wild with Pearce falling to us. Also took CB Morrison over CB Porter, interested in thoughts on that. Quote

Value is measured against other mock drafts, we don’t know how other NFL decision makers feel about him. I think he’s going to produce Quote
RyanC883 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I'm beginning to like T. Williams at 30. Great 1T, with pass-rushing upside. 2 Quote

Gregg Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago With the Bosa signing do you think the Bills still go DL in Rd 1 or will now go CB or WR. I still think they will go DL, but I am not sure it will be Rd 1. Quote

The way I see it is, if the top 3 remains Titans Giants and Browns, whichever team takes Carter could be looking at McCord in the top of the 2nd. He got a ringing endorsement from Palmer who frankly, I now trust more than anyone else with QB evaluations thanks to Josh. Broke the ACC single season passing record, which may not sound like much, until you see the next 3 names are Deshaun Watson, Matt Ryan and Phillip Rivers... I tried to watch more Syracuse games this year and was kind of shocked that Ohio State let the guy walk. He's legit. I think if we are talking backup QB in this draft, I like Kurtis Rourke. Ontario born, a 6 year player at the collegiate level, took the Hoosiers on a Cinderella ride to the playoffs. His brother Nathan has proven the families pedigree in the CFL. With 3 5th round picks, I am spending one on Rourke without hesitation. Quote
