Free agency drive the first rounds of this draft…

coleman, Shakir are back at WR thrn you have Hollis, Cooper and Samuel.. if try keep cooper thrn therr are likely not drafting a WR on day 1 &2

I have not done research into this but in general I feel you can find run stuffing / blocker eating DT on day 3.  They need a DE/OLB pass rusher

a CB is possible on day 2

No to move ups.   I always prefer more shots at finding a star.

More shots for Beane to miss?

Thanks as always for putting in the work Gunner.

I'm going to be disappointed if we take two DL to start the draft, especially starting with a DT that doesn't seem to have any high end traits, but I'm kind of expecting it. Seems like that's where the value is projected to be and we know Beane will invest more there than anywhere else on the roster. I'd feel a lot better if that 1st pick was Mike Green but there's been some buzz about him this week in Senior Bowl practices and I expect him to ultimately end up in the top 20, maybe even top 15. Every team needs explosive pass rushers.

Isaiah Bond strikes me as too Curtis Samuel like and I don't think that Beane will want to give up on that contract this early. No surprise to anyone on here - I would go WR with that 1st pick. I haven't done anything more than read some draft profiles of players expected in that range, but Matthew Golden who you have going right after our pick seems like a great fit. Speed, separation, route running. He gives us everything we're missing outside right now. You read the negatives on him and it's "run blocking" and "focus drops." I can more than live with that if he is consistently making himself an available target for Allen.

Abdul Carter to 6.  I’d trade the house for him.

thanks as always GB- predicting 27,27,28 of the first rd picks in January is remarkable

I’ll take a deeper look when I get some time.  I do expect a Dat and an Edge with 2 of our first 3 picks

Yeah- it’s a tough draft for the type of WR we’re looking for- potential WR1.  I think the only way we can get what would make people here happy is via trade.

I agree about Bond.  But he seems like a strict north south kind of an athlete from what I’ve seen so far.  Very little wiggle. But he can run deep

Golden is probably the closest that might be available.  Royals could be a rd 2 candidate.  I really like Jack Bech.  If he lands somewhere with a good QB, he’s gonna be a stud imo.  Savion Williams is kinda like metcalf but way more raw.  Jayden Higgins is a savvy big guy, but not enough speed for this crowd.

I think Harmon right now is the better player at absorbing double teams and preventing offensive lineman from being able to get to the next level and get hands on a linebacker. The Bills are big on that from their D Tackles.

I hate that this is accurate. My fear last draft was that we'd take a safety in the first two rounds. It happened and it looks as bad in hindsight as I thought it would. My fear this draft is we'll take a DT who profiles best as a run stopper in the 1st round. It does unfortunately seem to line up with this regime's priorities. I just can't accept using your most valuable asset on a run stopper. That does nothing to get us over the hump. If we go for a legit pass rusher ok I can live with that.

My number 1 need is DT for round 1. We can’t keep getting gashed in the run game and little to no pocket push from the middle .

Having a top end DT also does wonders for our LB

If we go DT I will say there is very little chance we go DE round 2. Beane has blown too much draft capital in round 2 and 3 on middling d line guys . I think round 2 is slated to be a corner .

I do think we need to add a WR but Bond is not the guy I want. Hes 165 pounds and even before I knew that I  wasn’t a fan . This is a terrible year for the WR class . Plus we just drafted Keon, he’s going to gf another shot to be the guy next year again. If he doesnt work out then back to WR in 2026.

I’m my opinion the Bills in the past few drafts have made the mistake of drafting for “need” in the early rounds. This front offices strength seems to be finding diamonds in the rough in later rounds. So let’s try to identify BPA in the early rounds regardless of need and try to fill the holes in the later rounds.

BPA is always the way to go unless it is literally just the one piece you need to either absolutely complete your team or you need one piece to start your team (trading up for a QB).

The better teams over the years go BPA. If they turn out the better player you can trade the guy in place already, if you don’t trade them then you have surplus quality that allows you to do more and have flexibility. a win-win.

It is not as easy as finding a solid DT in college.  It’s who fits best in Buffalo.  With Oliver at 3 tech the need is to play Daquan Jones position. Size length and leverage.  Harmon is on the short list, I would add Walter from Kentucky.  A mountain of human.  I think Size in the interior, athleticism in the secondary and versatility on the edge are the targets for me.  With how deep Dline is I wouldn't be surprised if secondary was the first pick.  Whether that is corner or Safety.

Where would the Bills be if they weren’t doubling down on overrated players like Eddy O and his 3 sack years.

Draft a guy who will be better than Ed and replace him as a pass rusher over a 1T to maximize Ed so he can post another goose egg postseason.

Thanks Gunner...alot of work went into that.  I really like all 3 players at their position selection. Bond will likely be a sub 4.39 guy so he may be a late 1st rounder. Wish he was a little taller.

Harmon looks like a good sized (6-5/310) 3tech to compliment Ed.

JTT may not have that first step burst so he's the biggest unknown from these 3.

Is this where he projects? From what I seen the ducks odd front had him anywhere from playing 1T to a 4i so I’d think 3T in our D makes sense although @GunnerBill suggested he’d slide in next to Ed (presumably at 1T).

I think he’d be athletic and versatile enough to do so. Here is a sample of a clip where he splits a double team that makes me feel he could handle playing the nose.

I don't think it is fair to say Harmon is just a run stopper. As I said in the mock he had more QB pressures than any DT in the FBS last season. I think he brings more pass rush potential than either of the two 1Ts they have had here in Star and DQ. But yes his run game fundamentals are part of why I think he would be attractive to them. They like long arms, good pad level and solid fundamentals and Harmon ticks all those boxes.

Yea, exactly. Played all over for the Ducks but mostly 3T. I think he projects better as a 1T in a modern NFL defense but he is gonna give you more pass rush juice than a lot of traditional 1Ts.

I know Bond is gonna run fast but I would be really surprised if he ends up late 1st based on his film. I would want no part of him there. That is a reach IMO.

I do think corner is in play but by the time the Bills get on the board at their spots end of the 2nd the board is pretty cleared out.

You are into Denzel Burke, Zy Alexander, Darien Porter etc and I think the 2nd round is too rich for all those guys. Given they don't have a third if they haven't snagged one in FA one of these three picks will be a corner. But it will require the draft to fall quite differently or some moving about the board.
