I think using our second round pick on a WR makes a lot of sense.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us draft DL - CB - WR with the first 3 picks.

I could see the Pats taking him early 3rd.

Which ones have the ability to separate at the NFL level.  Not worried about 40 times as much as ability to separate.

Golden and Jack Bech both separate.  Golden with 4.27 speed and crisp route running.  Bech with precision and wiliness.  Either would fill our WR room nicely, and add a new dimension

Bech is getting comparisons to Puka and honestly you can see shades of it. Puka was a better athlete tho. Golden is another good route runner. And critically both of them play outside a vast majority of their snaps.

Other outside receivers who have shown separation ability are Tory Horton and Jayden Higgins. I think my dog Tre Harris shows it too but doesn’t have many opportunities.

Then you have guys that are (likely) better in the slot in the NFL like Egbuka, Restrepo, Bond, Felton, Tez and Noel.

Tre Harris 🤤

Dont’e Thornton is going to go much earlier than people expect right now

Yep... I'm not sure how high Thornton will go because there is a lot of projection, a lot of upside, and some built in risk... But a healthy almost 6-5 WR with 4.3 flat speed, no known off the field issues, and a ceiling a mile high? That does not sound like a Day 3 guy to me... It only takes one team out of 32... That's not a comment on where he should go... That's just reality... B-)

Jack is exactly who we want.  Great physical and mental make up.  In fact, I would like us to use a 2nd in him if there.

Getting Dont’e Thornton COULD makeup for passing on DK twice.

Only 26 catches last year?? Was he hurt or did TEN have a bad qb? Otherwise how does a 6’5” guy with 4.3 speed only have 26 catches?

As far as receivers I could realistically see the bills taking, he’s number one on my list. Needs some development but dear God the athleticism is crazy. Really really like Royals as well. And Bech.

They were a run 1st offense behind Dylan Sampson. Thornton easily led the team in receiving yards with 661, and the team leader in receptions only had 39 total. They had 584 rushing attempts and only 373 passing attempts on the season. And they spread the ball around. 9 players had 10 or more receptions and at least 100 yards total in 2024. They run a funky Offense. Not a lot of routes...screens and shorter passes. B-)

Some good talent evaluators are comparing him to Puka. Honestly I can see shades of it he just isn’t quite the athlete Puka is. Imagine he will go to a Shanahan protégé.

I’ve been saying for awhile that if, excluding the proverbial megatron prospect, if you built a bills WR prototype - it feels like bech is pretty close

im not sure how I feel about that but it sure does seem like a fair assessment either way

big, strong, physical, but sacrifices explosive speed to be all that. willing to mix it up. Football family. High character family.

like McDermott would love for this dude to succeed on a personal level.

After going through the loss of his brother, then playing the way he did, and just pushing through. I respect this kid a lot and feel he is exactly what we need on this team. Not to mention, the kid is physically talented as well.
