That’s fine if they are self aware about that, but then figure another way like they did with the Diggs trade.

Your assessment is that a coaching staff and front office with guys who have been around football for close to 40 years dont know when they see a good wideout?    Is that really the hill you want to die on?   The front office who brought Diggs here and drafted Khalil Shakir arent good at evaluating wideouts?    I think some of you guys dont realize the percentage of wideouts who are drafted that ever turn into good wideouts in the NFL.

Very few of the guys drafted this weekend have played in a pro-style offense.   Only a select few can run a full route tree.     Why waste a pick on guys who you have to teach football to for 3 years only to have them leave a year later?

They had to do ZERO assessment on Diggs. Guy was a performer. Shakir is OK, but he's wildly overrated by this board. Most teams, he's a fringe #2 or a slot guy. Davis was...Davis. Keon was a pick spent that probably shouldn't have been. So, yeah I think it's fair to say they have problems assessing WR.

Forget Moore or Coop, they both have no chance at being an explosive #1 receiver. Watching Beane pass on Flowers and BTJ when they were just a few picks away is demoralizing, then seeing it happen again with Golden this year is almost too much. Beane is really out of his league with scouting receivers. Max Hariston was a fine pick and good value, but there was SO much depth at corner, we could have gotten a starter caliber in round 2 easy. Why do we refuse to bring in an explosive, good receiver??? It's like Beane keeps trying to double down on it, and our offense once again goes into a season with literally ZERO players that scare you outside of Allen. Just disappointing.

We have no idea how Keon is going to be.   He was a rookie playing a position that is amazingly hard in the NFL.  He may be a bust but we cant say that for sure right now.   If you think they did Zero assessment on Diggs I'd say you're sadly mistaken.   You have to know if a guy can do all the things you need him to in your offense.  How many big free agents have we seen become an absolute bust when they go to a new team?

They scored more points than any Bills offense ever last year and you guys think the offense is going to be hampered because they passed on who exactly?   Arian Smith?  Jaylin Noel?   If you were looking for Jamar Chase in this draft he wasnt there.    It is an absolute absurd comment to say this team, who is one of the top two winningest teams in football over the last 5 years doesnt know how to assess talent.

Please tell me who in this draft was going to beat out Shakir, Samuel, Coleman, or Palmer for snaps this season.

Moore has played with some ***** QBs and been pretty solid despite it. If anything he’d give us downfield speed

I'm not opposed to adding Moore. Just disappointed once again that we are heading into a season for the 3rd year in a row without a single offensive player (outside of Allen) that even remotely scares you. Nobody worries about our offensive skill players, period. Allen will do what he does with JAG receivers, so I get not overspending , we don't need to be the bengals. But to not have a single explosive (and starting caliber) receiver for years and years is infuriating. Watching Beane just say "nah" when Flowers and BTJ were right there a couple picks away back to back drafts, but then he trades up for corner and DT with questionable value time and time again, just unbelievable. Anyone with even the slightest bit of football sense that watched those kids (Flowers, BTJ) play knew they were starting caliber and explosive out the gate. Just so frustrating. All on Allen once again this year. Everything has to go perfect to win a Super Bowl.

For me - as much as I still hate them - the Pats are the blueprint.

Build the trenches, build a championship D, have a top O-line.  If you have a great QB, he can make stars out of middlin' guys.   The only time the Pats really invested in a top WR, they didn't win a SB.

Not making more of an effort to go after BTJ will always bother me. Josh has had one legit WR1 in his career and unfortunately he morphed back to diva mode. Last year was a monster wr class and who knows what we have in Keon?  I totally understand the frustrations of many Bills fans. Josh holds up his end of the bargain every year. I love the aggressive defensive draft this weekend but would it have killed Brandon to skip one CB for Thornton or Horton?

They traded a 4th round pick for Randy Moss, went 16-0 and lost a close Super Bowl game.

That would be the greatest season in McD and Josh’s careers thus far, no?

I hear ya. I’m frustrated as well. Beane takes chances on guys hoping they hit the next level with Josh instead of just going out and getting guys who are already on that next level.
