Wr class is very meh.  I dont think there is a potential number 1 type outside Mcmillen.  Even with him is it more hype than substance?  Idk.  I think Buffalo needs speed outside.  I think with one of the seconds or even fourth they can get that style of wr there.  Im not sure the guys available at 30 are more impactful than the dline prospects that will be available.

He had Stefon Diggs for about half a season and turned him into a screen WR.  The teams literally mantra is everyone eats.  Why are you not believing what your seeing and hearing?  They have highly drafted talent at WR/TE and they aren't used.

What part of 2023 Diggs (or even 2022) is supposed to make us believe he was any different than his 2024 version?  Dude was disgruntled, phoning it in, and old.  Half season of that version of Diggs is enough to convince any of us that Brady has no use for a true #1 WR?

That we're voluntarily choosing to be run first versus stacked boxes, we prefer to spread the ball around in middle of field where it is heavily guarded and cramped because the defense is only having to commit the most bare minimum resources into protecting outside the hashes.  Brady wants to run a balanced offense, with a bottom of the barrel outside attack.  I don't see it.

Is there any reason Davonte Adams has not been brought up much across the league? What is his plan I wonder?

I wouldn't hate Adams on a one year deal plus drafting a WR in round 2 to develop behind him and provide depth. Then spend pick 30 and the other 2nd on the defensive line or trade one of those picks for a bigger pass rusher.

Is the class meh or is it just not filled with a lot of dynamic top 10 caliber prospects but still very solid depth overall? I am just not too familiar with this draft class just yet other than D-line is very strong and QB is thought of as being weak.

Donte Thornton Jr, Tennessee. 6'5", 214. 4.4 speed

Dude ran a 4.3 officially at the combine. At that size that's freakish. I'd take a mid-round chance on him. Unless he's got a truly uncoachable attitude, you coach him up and even if all he can do are fly routes year one, that's ok. I love his size and speed.

Beane blew last season and not trading up to get Bryan Thomas ,  6"3 and 4.3 forty and already considered a top 8 receiver in the NFL.  We could have easily move up past the Jags to get him.

Matthew Golden was a Bills target visit. Very happy with that idea.

Remind me: How well do combine visits with Bills correspond to drafting these players?

Dont’e Thornton and BTJ posted basically identical combine numbers. The production is much different but both very explosive. Thornton was an elite low volume WR this year and the Bills offense is a low volume target share offense so would be a great fit imo.

I have a feeling Beane is going to mess this one up again.

What else is new?  According to you, Beane hasn't ever done anything right.

Bills must get Josh WRs who can catch the ball, who can separate, who can run a route tree, who can win vertically!!!!!!

yes we need DL, CB, DE.  But we have been neglecting Josh and WR his entire career.  4 year agos we desperately needed WR, 3 years ago, 2 years ago, and last year.,  We have ignored Josh's needs.  It is obvious we need WR. For the love of God, get Josh a few talented WRs!

First, "Full speed ahead" is a boat thing, not a train thing.

Second, the offense was terrific this year. The defense not so much. Sure, get some improvement at WR.

But as a higher priority than DL, CB and DE? Nah.

Too often the offense relied  on Josh making Josh Allen plays on third and long situations.  We made things look difficult at times.  Even the best can improve.  Did Michael Jordan say “I’m the best, so I don’t need to be better”?  We desperately lacked a WR who could separate.  That’s why we overpaid for Cooper.  Teams were stacking 8 in the box, Cover 2.  A vertical threat opens up everything in the middle for Shakir, Samuel, Dalton, Knox, and it opens up running lanes.   Sure we were the best offense last year, but I want to blow those numbers away this season, and be one of all time great offenses.

Yes I know the D needs DT, DE, CB, S - all I’m asking for is one stud WR.  We have one of the all time greatest QBs- get Josh the stud WR he deserves

Hard to say anyone would be willing to trade ahead of Jacksonville.  Without a 3rd.  Might not of had the ammo to do it.  Golden is really the only guy I would consider at 30.  With his 40 time I dont see him making it.  Rest all seem about the same.  Middle rds you can find an archetype of a wr they looking for.  I would find a way to get Jaylin Noel.  Similar to Shakir.  Can play inside or out .

Yes, aside from drafting Josh, the best first round pick of the Beane era is the one he traded away for Diggs.

Whether it is getting someone like Metcalf or Olave from a cash strapped team with no QB, or at least taking shots at WRs early who can become dominant players for Josh, we need to keep taking shots to support him. There is FA and other draft picks to fill out the defense.
