He could be a very good WR, or he may actually be bad... but I don't think we will know the answer if he is stuck on the Giants. I think if he was decent, he would have played more and been more productive. Daniel Jones wasn’t the answer at QB, but he wasn’t so bad that he held Hyatt back. Quote
nuklz2594 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 shou[d have draft ladd. ladd and shakir can separate and wait for it....catch the ball. 1 Quote

I don’t think they’re both returning- hence, not fine. i do agree that the defense is what is holding us back every year and is a much bigger problem than our offense. Injuries have been a big part of it- but more than anything- our DL routinely disappears in season ending losses. Corners playing yards off their man and giving up easy yards. Player talent and McDermott defensive scheme. Quote

We got Keon Coleman. WR is a bigger need than last year. Give Josh WRs who can separate, and we beat KC the last two playoff meetups., Sal is talking about WR train right now Don't worry after next yrs playoff debacle vs KC McBeane will be uttering these words during there end of yr press conference only to bring in another big slow Wr during the draft. 😂 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted Friday at 11:18 AM Posted Friday at 11:18 AM It’s a pretty foregone conclusion we’ll draft one with one of our 10 picks. If we trade two picks for for Garrett or at least Crosby, we still have 8 picks and it’s obvious the 2nd rd extra as we have 2 will go to one of the many DT studs in this deep class. Probably one of the 4th rd picks will go to WR. I agree with the OP we need a guy who creates separation and has good hands. Quote

I'll say I don't care if the go WR, DT, DE, Safety, or whatever position with the picks. The guy just needs to perform at a high level. I think Beane sees himself as some sort of contrarian thinker. Always trying to prove the consensus wrong. A guy that sees things that others miss. He's like the stock market experts that's telling you the market is going to crash while its going up 10,000 points over a period of a couple years. That's part of the reason we got Josh Allen. The Bills didn't out-maneuver other teams to get Josh. A lot of "experts" saw him as a bust. The consensus was he was wildly inaccurate and might be a serviceable starter. Josh was a contrarian pick. With the Allen pick Beane has proved most of the other experts wrong. But lots of his other picks just turned out to be bad choices. What Beane and McDermott need to do is start listening to the consensus for the draft. If 100 other experts say player A is the pick and they think its B then they're probably wrong. I think there's other factors on how they evaluate talent. We know from what McBeane has said in the past they don't value athletic abilities as much as other GMs do this might explain why we don't draft much players from the SEC. The Bills value character and work ethic more and they always want to have some feel of familiarity with there prospects . It's funny how we hear stories about prospects like Elam wanting a playbook to take home with him or Coleman lighting up the interview room with his character. Basically what your saying is the Bills study long study wrong when it comes to the draft. Quote

How could Watson kick ass? Your weak response is like saying "you say Benford is a great CB. He really kicked ass in the AFC Championship game". Quote
wppete Posted Friday at 02:08 PM Posted Friday at 02:08 PM The offense wasn't the problem this year. It was the garbage defense we had. Draft all defense with our picks this year. Quote

While you are right re. injuries if you visit an Packers boards or read any Packers media at the moment the consensus there is receiver by committee is nice, but to get over the hump they need a #1 capable of dictating coverage. Which I think is essentially the same as here. 1 1 Quote

So for a fraction of Coopers salary, the Pack gets 3 WRs who can separate and catch. To me, this is brilliant. Quote

Just about every Super Bowl participant of the last 7 years or so has had a clear #1 pass catcher. Most of them had a very strong #2 option as well. KC of the past two years is really the only exception with Kelce on the decline. No matter the cost Beane has to find that answer. 1 Quote

I have Royals at 11 and Felton will be very dependent on his 40 as he is a great route runner but I question his long speed Quote

Better, cheaper, slightly deeper.... but still needing a dominant difference maker. 1 minute ago, gonzo1105 said: Yea very very similar except for the fact of Isaiah Bond, which I can see why someone would have him higher to be honest with his speed and explosiveness. I feel like that is closer than we have been on some other receiver classes which might speak a little bit to the depth of quality in this class compared to others. Quote
