It's Jack Kemp. The frustration of the four Super Bowl losses and our inability to get back to the Super Bowl under Josh Allen have convinced me that the real sign of greatness is motivating your team to win the biggest game. Kemp led the Bills to two league championships in 1964 and 1965. He wasn't as gifted an athlete as Allen, and didn't rack up the stats like Kelly. But he knew how to motivate his team to win when it counted most. I watched the '65 game when I was 8 years old. I wish every Bills fan could know what it feels like to win it all.

Now Jack Kemp, there’s a haircut you could set your watch to

Josh Allen is the best QB have ever had and might be the best ever do have. It’s not even a debate.

Yeah. The argument that the OP is making is like saying that Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino just because he happened to ride a defense and a running game to a SB.

How many points could Jack put on our defense?

Zero. All those guys chain smoked and didn't work out. This years Panthers would smoke the 1966 Packers.

I completely understand. More gain, less pain

Jack Kemp was the man back in the day.

QB’s are part of the puzzle, a big part. But defense still has a big hand in Championships.

Which QB tandem would y’all rather have in your teams history?

Steelers:  Bradshaw / Big Ben

Bills:  Kelly / Allen

I’d rather have our guys, not even close.  But those Steelers QBs have all the hardware

The best thing Kemp ever did was to come out of the closet. Too bad he didn’t have the guts to do it while he was playing.

7 NFL QBs had completion percentages over 50% in 1964.

With Bradshaw it was the best defense in NFL history and Franco Harris. With Rothlesburger, it was a great D and some great RBs. Teams win SBs.

Jack Kemp never had a completion percentage over 46% in Buffalo. In the 1964 AFL championship season, he had 44%, 13Tds and 26 INTs.

True. But how many other Bills quarterbacks won a championship, much less two?

I'll take that into consideration once he wins us a Super Bowl. And believe me, I hope he does, more than once.
