I had assumed that we would cut him after this year but . . .

We only save 9 mil by cutting him. He started to play fairly well towards the end of the season. How easy is it to replace his production at that price? If he stays another year his deadcap goes from 15m to 9m.

He’s an expensive JAG at this point.

His knees are gone, his speed is gone. He can’t beat any T.

It just never panned out with him.

Nope, Von has played his last game in a Bills uniform. He will never win a SB on a 3rd different team.  As usual the football gods crapped on us with this signing.  And be prepared for this upcoming season being the last for Rousseau / Epenesa. Our elite pass rusher search will have to come somewhere else?

Yes he should and he should be designated as a post June 1st cut which I believe actually opens up $17 mil.

$9M for a part-time player that isn't overly dominant & IMO is more aptly described as "good" is an extravagance where the cap space could better be put elsewhere.

Only 9mil? That's a lot.

Unless he takes a huge cut,  I think he's gone.

They will cut him just like the Jordan Poyer and Mitch Morse.  They’d love to keep him at a lower deal but it’s not possible.  Look for Von to sign a one-year deal late in the offseason

Yeah, but we also cut our deadcap by another 6, so it's more like 3 mil

I don't think that's correct. With his dead cap,  he saves about 9 mil.
