I also don't even know what to do with myself today. It's Sunday and there's no football on Yep, it does. That about sums it up for me too at this point. I’m over it for the most part, but the sting will always be there when I do think about it, simply because it was a giant missed opportunity and this was the closest we had ever been to the SB in Allen’s career. Sandhill Mike Posted yesterday at 06:20 PM Posted yesterday at 06:20 PM It's like a wound that won't heal because I keep picking at it. As a Bills fan, though, I've felt far worse at season's end than I do this year. 13 seconds will be hard to top, as we watched our coaching staff just give a game away. Even with all the ref favoritism (I bitched about spots the whole game), it was still there for the taking at the end... but we got to see another defense do what ours never seems to when the season is on the line. I'm cool if we spend most of the offseason giving the defense an infusion of talent. We need it up and down as you we can never have enough depth. I just hope we don't use the same scouts/criteria we've been using with all the dud draft picks made on that side of the ball. Still pissed at McDermott for going for two in the first half though. That forced the second failed 2 point attempt, then encouraged the Chefs to later go for two, resulted in the three point difference. After getting screwed on the challenge to the Worthy "catch", I guess he was too spooked to challenge the spot on Kincaid's catch on 3rd down. I guess he's still got some growing to do as well. Next year, I'd like to see Brady learn to use the spectacular running back we have to make an opposing coordinator forget about Josh Allen once in a while. I don't know that I've been as happy with our running backs since the days of Thurman and Kenneth Davis. Get a lead and destroy hopes with a strong second half rushing attack. 1 Quote
TBBills Fan Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Still pissed about the game Here's one thing we can hang our hat on, we stopped the chiefs from the first perfect season 3 Quote
Ray Stonada Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I still keep thinking about if we'd gotten the first down call on the sequence with Kincaid's catch and Allen's push. We would have gained all the momentum and run away with it, I keep thinking. It's fading a bit, but I'm angry about it. We should have had them. 1 1 Quote

If the Bills don't win that game, we're likely hearing about "the first team to go 20-0". 1 1 Quote

Kelly to Allen Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago (edited) This game felt like they still aren't quite there. Being a soft rebuild year it's great to be ahead of schedule. We still should have already played in two super bowls in the Allen era. And that's frustrating Edited 22 hours ago by Kelly to Allen Quote

Agree, imagine if we lost twice this year to them.. It would be disgusting to watch them go 20-0 It's 50-50 who wins when we play. 1 Quote
muppy Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago WORSE to be honest. I wanted to recover and settle into acceptance and gratitude. well we have No Peace. All over the threads and social media is how JACKED our team was in the game by the referees This is NOT HELPFUL in a loss recovery process I'm just keeping it real here. For me an analogy would be if someone died and you were grieving. But you found out later the organ that person needed to live arrived a day late and a dollar short see what I mean? Its ******* torturous. 3 Quote

If you had told me then what lay ahead, I wouldn't have believed it. Heartbreak after heartbreak, more games w/ names than pretty much any other team, just epic disappointment. And still waiting for that elusive title. It never gets easier. But the hope remains: just one before I die. Just one. I don't think that's asking too much. And while Josh Allen is the Bills QB, it is a very real possibility. Could he end up like Marino? Maybe, but I really doubt it. He's going to get there. 1 1 Quote

His trajectory is sky high. So make no mistake Im not down on the team as much as the ****** NFL for allowing this suckage too happen to us in the first place. exhales. 1 1 Quote
DaVinci Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I have lost faith in this coaching staff and G.M. Its been a 5 year revolving tour of disappointments and let downs, How can I feel everything will be ok next year? This is my last year as a season ticket holder. Quote

I think it's reasonable to give kc credit, to admit this regime has had a few misses while also acknowledging they're close if they have the necessary off season moves. I also have my skepticism about this front office and coach but I can compartmentalize the two. I understand the frustration. Edited 20 hours ago by Kelly to Allen 1 Quote

Goin Breakdown Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) Still pissed. Yes about the game but also about what never changes with McD and his defense. I'm pissed that the tendencies of the team never changed for the playoffs. It just seem we're either not smart enough to realize other teams are goin to pick up on what we always do or were to egotistical to think we'll be stopped. Beamer says we find out our flaws in the playoffs. Well it's been 5 years of basically the same turnout and the same reasons why. So I'm just not sure what that says about the teams leadership.
