Lets hear your thoughts on how we structure this team going into 2025.

I'm personally of the opinion that this defense is a big mess right now with glaring needs in multiple spots.  It's bad enough that I'm not sure the Bills can correct course and get back to having a top 5 defense just by adding 1 top tier DL, S or CB.   Having a Kyle Hamilton or Myles Garret on this team right now still wouldn't be enough to change much especially with our current defensive philosophy.   I feel like the offensive side of the ball is different however.   We have a unicorn QB, a dynamic RB, stable OL but severely lacking at the boundaries.   It's like a Ferrari sitting in our driveway but it's missing two wheels.  Brady did an admirable job in covering up our teams weaknesses this season but I want us to be able to get back to that high powered offense that teams just can't stop and we're essentially 1 elite WR away from that happening.   I hate the fact that Beane has blown two 1st rd picks on offensive targets that haven't amounted to much the last two seasons but until we find one that actually produces, it's still our biggest need IMO.

Literally every position on Defense needs to be upgraded... Even LB as I have zero faith Milano reinvents his old form. But I am going DE and DL first because I believe a pass rush and bigs DLs that keep OLs off our LBs could have the biggest impact... after that Safety and CB... I have no idea where you go here... I suppose if you keep Douglas (who was not overly impressive to me) you may go Safety... if he doesnt... I have no clue which you prioritize.... probably Corner because you can at least hope Bishop improves...   But I would love to see Rapp relegated to back up status... he is a friendly fire missle that routinely knocks out our players...  For you old timer hockey fans... anyone remember Eddie Shack and Brian Spinner Spencer.... fair hockey players... but caused utter devastation to anyone near them as well as themselves...  thats kinda like Rapp to me...

They still desperately need speed and separation at WR.  The defense could use help everywhere,  but I would prioritize CB and a big, immovable run defending DT.

It's still WR. We also need significant help at DL, CB, and S.

Unfortunately for us, this WR class looks weak and I would anticipate a defensive heavy approach.

DT, DE, WR

Try to make a big swing for one of those positions in FA or Trade and then address the others in the Draft.  Seems like there's some smoke for Maxx Crosby as even some Bills reporters have been mentioning his name.

LB, CB, S are also needs, but ones we should be able to address in the middle rounds as Bernard, Milano & Williams will all be back at LB.  Benford & Johnson in the CB room and Rapp/Bishop at Safety.  Need to prepare for the potential of letting one or both of Bernard & Benford walk in '26 though.

Boundary WR is a huge priority.  This team is desperate from someone who can get open down the field.

Douglas’ departure coupled with Benford’s injuries and Elam’s mediocre play make drafting 2 CBs a priority.

DE/DT needs to be better.  However Groot, Oliver, Jones, and AJE are all under contract. (So is Miller) Depth players Carter and Solomon are also hanging around.  Will Beane bank on internal growth or will he supplement with one of his premium draft picks?

I’m taking a WR at 30 and then a CB and a DE with picks 57 & 62.

I want to put WR first but they scored the most points in franchise history without one so maybe not.

Pass rush has been absent all year and that has allowed QB's to pick on our terrible safeties. We likely have the worst safeties in the league but if you have a good pass rush then they aren't throwing it to the 3rd level.

Cornerback because Rasul is getting old, Benford is always banged up yet very good and Elam was  and how now demonstrated that he was the wrong option.

It is a DL vs DB debate.

WR is top need which has been ignored Josh’s career.

DT and CB are 1A.

ill take 2 speedy WR that can run route tree and separate

2 stout DL

2 CB please

we need starters at WR 1, 1 tech, CB 2.

any other selections are depth

In order of needs

1. Edge Rusher

2. Speed Receiver

3. Run stuffing DT

4 Corner

5 Safety

The draft is very very deep on dline so taking 2 with our first 3 picks seems like a good bet.

Id grab speed receiver with that other round 2 pick

In free agency adding a Vet Safety or Corner seems like a good idea

Everyone saying WR: you watched our secondary get just absolutely abused game after game right?

That's the problem, there's too many holes on D.   We can add an elite corner or safety or whatever.  We're still gonna get abused because someone else is gonna be open.  A recurring theme deep in the playoffs seems to be that you can't stop these other elite QBs like Mahomes and Burrow, only hope to outscore them.  I don't want to diminish those needs on D but IMO the position that's gonna have the biggest impact right now is WR.

This really depends upon what they do scheme wise.

This idiotic everyone eats scheme doesn't entail any need for a big-time WR, not would any want to come here for a max 100 targets, for example.

OL played great all season generally speaking, just not two days ago.

Zone or man on D for example also.

Critics of our methodology want to see Allen unleashed in the paying game, not turned into a RB Game Manager, but they see it differently.

Needs depend upon the projected uses for them.

To name a few.

This is why I hated the approach last season of only drafting Coleman and not taking a shot at another in a good draft class

Yes,  but both things are an issue.  Brady and Allen did a great job working around the lack of speed and separation outside this year,  but it's a pretty limited group.  if I'm a division rival (or the Chiefs or other top AFC contender),  I'm drafting a CB early to try to further restrict this passing attack.

That being said,  the Bills have 10 draft picks,  including three in the first two rounds,  and that's not including FA.  If they make smart choices and find the right players,  they have the resources to address both groups.

After spending high picks on Coleman and Kincaid , combined with a brutal WR class I’d be shocked if we spend any high draft capital on WR.

I’m hoping it’s a game wrecking DT. But we do have needs at DE, S and CB

The biggest impact is WR and DE.

Coleman was a mistake. I know that it’s early. I clearly wasn’t a fan of the pick but that’s neither here nor there at this point. You win in space. If you can’t find space, you can’t consistently contribute. It was our biggest need and we filled it with a guy that is a 4th or 5th WR. You need a guy at the top of the depth chart still. It could be Cooper IMO but you need to use him like that.

DE is the other obvious need. I’ve said that I would trade Rousseau this offseason. He’s pretty good IMO. He has pro bowl potential. At the same time, I don’t believe that you can write a Pro Bowl type of contract for a guy that may end up being a solid role player. Rousseau and a 2 for Crosby or Rousseau and a 1 for Garrett. You’ll still need to draft another one and hope that Solomon develops.

A space eating DT is the other biggest need. It would have been nice to figure out how to use Poona Ford. You need a CB or 2 as well. The safeties aren’t very good either (Rapp is okay). I’d try to sign a DB as my pick FA move (assuming that I could get Higgins or someone like that).

Yup, we missed a very doable trade up opportunity last April for BTJ.  This draft is very weak in WRS. If I'm drafting I go DT, DE, WR, CB, S. And the late picks the same positions.  Our defense was pathetic last year.
