It is the only explanation for the foolery that followed on offense. Not sure on that play but he was definitely injured. That's why he wasn't on the field for that last drive. At least I hope that's why he wasn't. Edited Tuesday at 10:40 PM by Doc Brown Quote
Dablitzkrieg Posted Tuesday at 11:07 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:07 PM I get the premise of the article, but let's not pretend that for a few plays where Cook might have been hurt, the offense was fine. Obviously, not good enough, but far from bad. They should really.be thanking Babich, he sucks Quote

A stop here or there and/or a turnover/s was all they wanted. They got that. They were a let down but so was the real reason we were ever there to begin with: the offense. Poor execution on both sides of the ball. Defense was right around where they were expected to perform. Offense was not. Thank Brady and Babich. 2 Quote
BigDingus Posted Tuesday at 11:27 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:27 PM And to think that last year I was getting fed up with all of Cook's TD drops on perfectly thrown balls... This year he really turned things around. It's just sad that our genius coordinator decided he wasn't necessary in the biggest moment. Quote

MJS Posted Tuesday at 11:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:40 PM Ty Johnson is the only one who can pass protect worth a darn. That's why he comes on the field a lot in place of Cook. But yes, they needed to continue to run Cook. They needed to stop calling the QB runs and QB sneaks because the Chiefs CLEARLY had answers for that and it failed over and over. That's the adjustment I would have liked to see. Pick up the yard the old fashioned way by running it, or faking the sneak and tossing it out to Cook or another RB to get the edge. Quote

Because, going off the regular season and the Divisional game against the Texans, it seems like the Chiefs offense can be exposed. And yet, come play off time against the Bills, they can just run up any score they need. Reid owns McD Quote

When that drive opened and Ty Johnson was alone in the backfield, I was screaming at the TV. When he got the handoff, I threw the remote. WHY in God's name, if you are handing the ball to a running back, would you choose Ty Johnson instead of James Cook in that situation??? Coaching malpractice. Yep- same here. Another What in the Absolute **** call was the first play of the game. A Josh Allen keeper for 3 yards?????? I mean... what's the &@*+#!! point?? KC knows he's going to run it at some point already, it's not like they're gonna go, 'hey wait, what- this quarterback of theirs can run too???' They needed to go out and be a kick-ass from moment 1 football team- terrible tone set there. 1 Quote
