Dr.Mantis_Toboggan Posted Tuesday at 01:34 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:34 AM (edited) Yeah if the guy wasn’t good to go he shouldn’t have been out there. As much as we all love this team, at the end of the day it is still a game, is it not? Games are not worth risking permanent brain health, and the Bills, IF, big IF it comes out that they or the league itself skirted some protocols and now Benford is at risk of lasting complications bc multiple concussions in a short time frame are disastrous, then the organization, or the league, who ever is responsible for clearing him, needs to be held accountable. We all want to win, but not at the expense of anybody’s long term health, especially when it comes to the brain. Edited Tuesday at 01:36 AM by Dr.Mantis_Toboggan Quote

Let's let a person who has a BRAIN INJURY make critical decisions about his health and well being in a world filled with pressure to play from himself and others. I can tell you never played high level sports and/or had a concussion. Quote

Yeah, I was advised up thread and thanked the poster for the clarification. I didn’t know that INC was included throughout the entire process. Quote

The Firebaugh Kid Posted Tuesday at 02:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:16 PM If Buffalo rushed him back and mismanaged the situation they should be punished. That was incredibly sad watching his eyes roll back after a glancing blow. Quote

Have they tried it, is there any data that supports it, or is this just you r"Professional opinion" ? You don't know unless you try !! And unless you have some kind of data to prove your Opinion then you don't know what could have been if tried . Quote

The League is in charge. But I think even the League is full of crap. I've had 2 friends suffer concussions and it takes months to heal up from. 100% This is a HORRIBLE look for the Bills IMO 15 hours ago, boyst said: The player can make his own decision. What the hell is wrong with people feeling entitled to make decisions for someone else? He chose to play. No, Christian Benford is 5. We must treat him like a baby. Um, it's actually very common. Use a seat belt lately? Quote

Okay 'll check it out but if it doesn't do anything 1 why is the NFL making it available & why are players using it ? And i don't know if you remember Kelso was famous for his helmet which he wore for the last 5 years of his career and i just read that he had 2 bad concussions which the doctor told him to quit playing football before changing to his padded helmet . Then Kelso him self in the interview i read said "Take a padded helmet and slam it on your knee a couple times then take just a normal helmet and hit your knee a couple times with it you will be in a lot of pain" . So i'll take his word on the subject and all of the players this year like Hamlin, Rapp, and many others in the NFL that it helps over a fans perspective . And the article was on Buffalo Rumblings which is a opinion article but is named - On NFL Concussions and Mark Kelso's Giant Helmet, if you would care to read his thoughts . Quote

Makes NO difference what you think "Pal", it's illegal. Laws/rules exist to protect people from themselves. Deal with it Quote
