That may be easier said than done. Hollins is clearly the better player on the outside right now. And if you move Coleman into a 'power slot' role, he fills a similar usage profile in the passing game as Dalton Kincaid. Quote

Cray51 Posted Tuesday at 03:07 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:07 PM I'd be shocked if Hollins doesnt come back. He wont cost a ton, and can take a 2 year deal here for stability with a team and org and city that embrace him completely. Guy is a dawg - need a few of those on the team. Also expect Ty Johnson to be re-signed. Same situation. Embraced by the team and org, came from the Jets where he felt lower than ever. A one year deal makes sense. Gilliam is a maybe - his usage ramped up in the playoffs which was interesting to see. Maybe they want to incorporate him more like how Ricard is used in Baltimore. Douglas is gone, and they will need to bring in a CB via draft or FA. Same with Hamlin - they have Rapp and Bishop already. Maybe they draft another mid/late round guy Von will be cut post June 1st, and they with either go via trade or FA to bring a name in. Josh Sweat? They would need to offer a lot, but the Eagles need to resign Zach Baun which wont be cheap (He will get a $10M+ raise) Quote

Brady coming from New Orleans and Sean Payton has those plays in his bag. I think you likely let Hollins walk and give that role to Coleman who is a willing blocker and offers more after the catch. In the middle of the year when Coleman was moved around he was much more productive. The decision with Cooper could make wr a more pressing need. Kincaid even without the last play was disappointing. Not being able to run the ball with Kincaid and Knox hurts both of them. Less play action with both of them on the field. Buffalo is multiple enough where having a power slot doesn't limit your Te position. Quote

You add Rashee Rice back to that WR core it going to make him even more deadly. Best believe Andy Reid will find new creative ways to get him the ball You mean like the catch that wasn’t a catch? 1 Quote

He shouldn't cost much and has proven, at worst, to be a quality reserve. 1 Quote

Hes not Kelce, you can't sell him as decoy Quote

He was hobbled much of the year. Ironically, on similar plays as the last one. The passing game isn't in a bad place. I think improvements can be made with or without Cooper and Hollins. I would like more speed. Quote

That and a mountain of a man in the middle of the DLine. 1 Quote

That and a mountain of a man in the middle of the DLine. I look at the Bills major needs as being. Replace Amari Cooper as boundary WR - Bills need a legit consistent boundary WR to keep defenses honest. I think Keon will develop but the Bills need a "go to" guy. Corner - With Rasul Douglas being a free agent there's a big need for corner opposite Benford. DT- Gotta add some punch and youth to that position. Austin Johnson is a free agent and D.Jones is older and declining. Safety (Depth/Development)- Hamlin is a free agent, I do think that Cole will be ready to plug in as a starter. But if the Bills let Hamlin walk (which they may not) then I think there's a need for depth there. DE- Not a bad core with what they have but maybe adding some more punch there is needed. There are some other minor needs that I think the team would address but those are the big ones. Minor needs should be easy to address. Resigning Ty/RB3 - Bills need a pass catching back. Resigning Mack/WR4/5 ST Ace- Bills WR lower down the depth chart needs to be a special teams ace and add a little bit of pop to the receiving core. Mack fits that bill. Corner depth - In addition to replacing Douglas as a starter the Bills need to likely add some depth at corner. LB depth - Bills seem to always get banged up at LB likely would make sense to add a later draft pick here. Quote
C.Biscuit97 Posted Tuesday at 05:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:13 PM I was big Ladd fan. You can’t tell me he won’t have made a bigger impact than Keon (I like the dude but I just think Ladd is a better receiver). Beane has done a really good job. But now, he’s at the hardest part of the project. He has a qb who takes up 1/3 of the cap and a lot of expensive talent. You are getting late draft picks and you need to badly add cheap draft talent. Every miss hurts. Quote

But you don’t trade with your arch nemesis. You don’t give them what they want. You don’t gift wrap the player they desire and hand it to them with a bow. You don’t deal with your enemies! The players are irrelevant. I felt this way at first, but then I realized the Bills were not going to pick Worthy either way, so the Chefs would have just traded up with whoever was next on the clock, or the pick after that until they moved up for Worthy......didn't seem like anyone else from the Bills pick to the Chiefs pick was going to select Worthy anyway, so might as well get a 3rd rounder out of the deal. 1 Quote

Again, it has nothing to do with the player. You just don’t do deals with your enemy. Ever. By virtue of KC taking our deal, it is common sense that our deal was the best offer. If another team had a better offer, they would have taken that offer instead. So: 1) Don’t do business with your enemy. 2) Make them take a worse offer with another team. 1 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted Tuesday at 08:18 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:18 PM Beane, McDermott, and Pegula owe it to Josh Allen to go all out this offseason. Whatever it takes to put the greatest roster Allen has ever had on the field next season. WR, CB, DT, and edge. I want to see at least 2 major additions at these positions. These are big money positions but we need it. Trade, draft, free agency. Whatever it takes. I don’t care about cap implications 2 years from now. 2 Quote

We know KC's defense is excellent. It's time to clean up that side of the ball. Defense wins Championships, especially when you have a solid offense (doesn't have to be all world great). The Bills will have good offense with Allen, Cook, the Oline, etc.. They simply must fix the defense and Buffalo, in our weather, should always have a NASTY defense and we just don't. We get one injury and everyone gets traumatized. They feasted on Takeaways this season, Yay, that's not sustainable. Quote
TurfToeJam Posted Tuesday at 08:36 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:36 PM What a waste of a 3rd round pick it was to trade for cooper. Did he not ask mcd if he would be used? What was the point of the trade? Between Von and Cooper, and the poor drafting, I feel change is needed. The way I look at it is like this ... If beane did not lucked into the Allen pick, we'd be a 6 or 7 win team. Bills have a very average supporting cast. Allen may have same date as Warren Moon did 1 Quote

Agreed, there has to be at least one or two major "win now" moves this off-season. I don't think it has to be trading away major amounts of high draft picks or signing a big 100 million dollar free agent, but the team has to go into the season plugging all their major holes and upping the depth of the team overall.
