We will be fine with him as GM Due to the talent gap between Buffalo and their AFC rivals, beating Baltimore was a great achievement, but it's unlikely that they can defeat three teams that are better than them. in a row. If Allen doesn’t play perfectly this team has little chance for winning consistently. Quote

How many really good teams beat 3 or 4 really good teams in a row without dropping 1 or 2 besides the Chiefs? It doesn't really happen. We just made the AFC Championship game. We lost by 3 points and if not for stupid play calls we probably win that game. Think about it, we definitely could be in the Super Bowl right now and may have won it. And the only thing that stood in the way of that was one game but had we won it, we wouldn't be having this conversation. We are in good hands with Beane. You don't come one game away from the Super Bowl with an extremely far off talent gap Quote

TurfToeJam Posted Tuesday at 02:46 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:46 AM I think beane did a great job building this team the first couple seasons he was here. But his biggest weakness is drafting. The bills now need to thank beane for his efforts and move on. We need a GM who has a history/focus of drafting talent. We are pretty stuck in a lot of contracts. Plus Allen's contract. The only way we improve is drafting. I don't trust beanie's drafting capabilities. I almost feel we'd be better off just drafting Kiper's best available player at this point. 1 1 Quote

GASabresIUFan Posted Tuesday at 03:30 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:30 AM (edited) Beane isn’t on the clock, the hot seat or anything else. The truth is there is plenty of elite talent on this team, mostly drafted by Beane, and this team is one of the 2 or 3 best teams in football. Allen, Brown, Cook, Dawkins, T Johnson, Benford, are all elite at their positions and all were drafted by Beane. Bernard, Torrence, and yes even Kincaid and Coleman are young good players still learning their crafts. Dumping on Beane for missing on Elam ignores the 4 other high end to elite starters from that draft class. I get why people are so sad and disappointed, but that doesn't change the fact that Beane is a great GM and has the Bills in a position to be just as good if not better next season. He's a gadget player who's a good hit away from IR. He was X-Factor for them and the worst part about it is they didnt even have Rashee Rice this year and he’s their best WR. So Worthy is going to play the Tyreek Hill role for them going forward. Which is not good for us. Quote

I don't rue the worthy thing but was out on Coleman and in on McConkey. Most mocks I see have us taking DT, CB, DE first 3 picks. 1 Quote

Yeah BTJ was the best deep threat in the draft last year and would have been good fit. Was hoping he would drop few more spots so the Bills could make small move up to draft him. 1 Quote

But you don’t trade with your arch nemesis. You don’t give them what they want. You don’t gift wrap the player they desire and hand it to them with a bow. You don’t deal with your enemies! The players are irrelevant. KC traded with its arch nemesis. Whether that trade is good or bad is up for debate. The partner team is irrelevant. You won’t find a lot of criticism, on the Chiefs’ blog for trading with Buffalo for Mahomes. Quote
harryS Posted Tuesday at 10:26 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:26 AM One of the reasons I'm not quite as upset by the loss to the Chiefs as I should be is because the Eagles are sooooo much more talented than the Bills (outside of QB), it's ridiculous. An Eagles-Bills Super Bowl wouldn't have looked all that different from Eagles-Redskins in the NFC championship game. Howie Roseman has embarrassed McBeane by comparison with Roseman's ability to collect talent. McBeane need to go, or they need to improve a lot. 2 1 1 Quote

I’ve been big supporter of his throughout his time as GM but now he needs to make something happen. After last night, I know he has egg on his face right now gifting the Chiefs Xavier Worthy. I know the Diggs contract set him back on what he could do this past offseason but now he’s has to make something shake. The roster needs playmakers on both sides of the ball. Notbing about the game changed anything about the worthy trade. 7 hours ago, BillMafia716ix said: He was X-Factor for them and the worst part about it is they didnt even have Rashee Rice this year and he’s their best WR. muppy Posted Tuesday at 11:42 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:42 AM I half expected there would be posters here calling for Beane to be fired. Reading the main board postgame is a serious downer. I'm not gonna lie. a full page of new threads OH MY I don't think he is perfect but he is our GM. If picking future NFL stars was such a sure thing wouldn't that be just peachy. SMH No GM bats 1000. Reading how he could be better or improve is productive. I'm looking for some silver linings . I still love football It's too soon for me to delve into future fixes when the magnitude of the loss is still squarely in my gut. it physically hurts *sigh* . 12 minutes ago, Einstein said: We are not KC’s arch nemesis.
