Then they were like we might be good enough now and traded for Cooper. Look for major moves out of Buffalo this offseason. Aside from a dynamic wr, we better dump all the picks and resources into fixing this pathetic defense. Quote

zow2 Posted Tuesday at 01:33 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:33 PM I think we all know the window will be open in 2025, and I believe they will have a good team for the first season in the new stadium 2026. These will both be Super Bowl or bust type seasons. But let's not fool ourselves. After that, Allen will be north of 30 i think, he will be wiser but a little bit less athletic...the other clubs around us aren't getting worse. Instead of having to go through KC and Baltimore there might be a few more heavy contenders by then. The Bills have let some of their best years with Allen come and go without a SB appearance. I'm not assuming Josh will ever get there,,, Quote

In fact all of the good will he has built in Buffalo would be gone overnight We have hospital wings named after people in his family... Because of all the money he donated He's the king of Buffalo He literally ruins his legacy if he leaves Buffalo and he knows that... He'll never be able to come back as player of the game.. he'll never be on the wall Josh knows his career is going to be defined by Buffalo... He's not losing 8 years of building himself up just to destroy the city Women and winning...are a powerful incentive. Edited Tuesday at 06:00 PM by Ballhawk 1 Quote

No way will Allen be able to do the running and scrambling he is now at 35+. We have now officially wasted 50% of Josh's career and probably his most athletic years. I'm guessing he plays 8 more seasons to 36. He'll be forced to become more of a pocket passer. This will make his "2nd half career" accomplishments more challenging. I've totally given up on ever expecting McDermott to build a quality playoff defense. Josh will go down as the greatest player in Bills history. But asking him to do it all always has been and always will be stupid and unsustainable. Quote
Billsfanatic8989 Posted Tuesday at 07:20 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:20 PM (edited) Don't discount the possibility that New England gets it together and is in a SB before the Bills. Other teams will improve. This division won't be a lay up for many more years to come. Edited Tuesday at 07:21 PM by Billsfanatic8989 1 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted Tuesday at 07:22 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:22 PM As long as Allen plays. As he grows older and loses some physical ability he’ll gain mentally. My guess is 10 years left at a high level. The Bills will be contenders as long as Allen plays. 38-39. He’s a better athlete than Roethlisberger, who started fading quickly at 39. Allen hopefully takes pride in taking care of his body in his 30’s. Quote
