BuffaloBillyG Posted Monday at 08:18 PM Posted Monday at 08:18 PM I honestly do not think he was ever healthy enough for contact. I believe they brought him back to help Bishop (Which seems to have paid off as he played better late in the season) and to let him retire on his own terms. Classy move by the Bills. Hopefully, Hyde decides to move into the coaching ranks and is on the staff next year. Could really be beneficial. 3 2 2 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted Monday at 08:29 PM Posted Monday at 08:29 PM People flamed me, but this was a PR move. Not a football move. If he was never going to play he should not have been on the PS. I get it. He was there to be a coach. Well then hire him as a defensive assistant. 1 1 1 1 Quote
K D Posted Monday at 08:31 PM Posted Monday at 08:31 PM I'm officially announcing my retirement too. I played just as much as Hyde this year Quote

Number of draft-able Iowa DB's this spring and I expect the Bills to come home with one of them and to hear a lot of talk about how they are like Micah Hyde or were trained like him etc.. 1 Quote

For less than 2 months, that's different than year round. I assume he did live he during past years so who knows? It may be easier if he really wants to get into coaching to start with one of the teams in the area LA, Vegas and also may be better when first starting out as coach to go to a team where you aren't coaching the guys you just played with can make it tougher for him. Go somewhere else, coach for a year or two there, then can hang your shingle that you are actually a coach, then come back here if you want. Quote
