If he had been throwing from any kind of platform that ball would have been 15+ yrds in front of where Kincaid ultimately had to come back for it.

I'm not saying that Allen should have seen it coming, just that he didn't.

And that's the reason he didn't make the right read (which it was) til it was too late to set up and make the throw with any sort of accuracy.

Oh yea i 100% agree but it was pretty clear right after the snap that wasn’t gonna happen lol. Looked like it might’ve been a td even if josh had time to step into it

Enough about Torrence.  As has now been said numerous times the protection was shifted to the left.  So Torrence is looking for guys coming from that side.  Then at the snap 2 DBs take off downhill from his right.  The video shows he sees it but too late to get back to pick the guy up.  It was a brilliant call by Spagnolo.

I think Josh had "Big Game" jitters for most of the 1st half,  for some reason. Maybe, because it was a big game. The play calling didn't help him.

But, I not too bummed out with the lost. I was of the mindset that, if we couldn't win the Superbowl I whether not be in it. This defense in my opinion would not have been able to stop Philly's run game. Watching 4 Superbowl losses, were enough for me. We'll get 'em next year.

As I read complaints about Allen's performance, I understand he did not play his best and everyone, of course has their right to opinions. "He choked", "he missed this, he missed that", etc. I understand and empathize with the frustration.
i have been a Bills fan since their inception and he is the most athletically gifted quarterback I have ever seen in the NFL.

I appreciate him as an athlete and as a person. My only point... complain and criticize him if you will, but once in a while take a breath and be thankful for the talent and heart we are witnessing from this generational person. He has brought so much joy and excitement to the organization and community. Critique all you want but appreciate what we have... where would this team be without him?

Go Bills!

Yes but then you have all the posts it's all McD and Beane's fault and need to be fired.  Some of this blame does need to go on Josh and the play calling of Brady meanwhile a 7 page thread about how lucky we are that Brady withdrew from Saints job (ant not saying he should go either)  Also no idea how many of the defensive and even offensive issues weren't due to coaching at all, but 100% on execution.

He started off erratic, almost like we were watching a diff QB, but settled in just before the half.  I think we got grossly outcoached on both sides of the ball, but there is also a personal deficiency.

There was article in the Athletic today that talked about the 3 phases of Allen in the game, the first phase was the gunslinger of old somewhat panicking, then the 2024 version took over, and don't recall what exactly he referred to the 3rd phase as.

We weren't stopping Philly as we are nowhere near having a SB caliber defense.  And until we EVER? find one, we will continously ask Josh to carry this team on his back. Sean: "Hey Josh, while we're waiting for me to find a great defense,  can you please score 30 every week".

We had multiple top 3 defenses during Allen’s year here. Are we just making up things now?

Could’ve done enough to outduel hurts imo…idk that I would’ve bet on it personally but I think were probably the favorite if we pulled that win out

Josh basically hold all playoff stat records except winning the Conference & SuperBowl...

That falls into the category of "Aside from that how did you like the play Mrs. Lincoln." The stats are basically meaningless without a Super Bowl win or at least a Super Bowl appearance.

With that said, Josh didn't choke and it wasn't an easy catch for Kincaid. The Bills made too many mistakes (coaching and otherwise) and the refs screwed them on some spots. Just another reason to scale back caring about sports in general and the Bills in particular. Just isn't worth the anguish.

this more than anything on Defense. the Chiefs scored 30 + when they haven't done that much this season. This defense needs a lot of work.

Some of you guys are jackasses.

Would be funny to see Josh go to another team so I could watch some of you cry…. Since you seem to think This is Josh’s fault.

The Bills would suck and not even make the playoffs if it wasn’t for him. Would be lucky to win 4 games.

Was it Allen's fault the Bills stubbornly kept trying the tush-push play?  KC had figured out to stop it (or there was something wrong with our O line), so after a couple of misses or near misses, who not try something else?

i really didnt care for that drive...continuously being put into a 4th and one situation over and over.

i really feel like that for all the running plays we use, we dont use them to set things up during that same drive.

when we do get some success instead of using it as a tool we pound it to the ground long after its effectiveness has died out from over use.

This was supposed to be a re-set year, remember?  McBeane figured out how to fix most of the holes, but they were only able to kluge together an adequate starting four in the defensive backfield.  But the depth was terrible.  Losing Rapp for the gamer was a real problem, but losing Benford too and replacing him with Elam just shot the D all to hell.

Imagine Elam trying to cover A.J. Brown in the Super Bowl.   Ouch.  You know Eagles fans were pulling for a Bills win.

great post.  He is very far down on the list of issues from yesterday.

To be fair, this was not premium top-shelf A+++ Josh we saw last night.  He was lucky not to get picked early on, and that's as close as he's come for months to getting picked.  He's usually better than that.  But even A or A- Josh, which we had, should have been able to win that game.  I don't know what Brady was trying to do, or not do, but the calls were just bad.

They 100% got that 4th down play and it wasn’t even that close.  I’ve been watching that stupid highlight over and over again for some reason 😂.  In classic K.C. fashion the refs absolutely blew the call and when it went to review the angle that would’ve definitively shown the ball and the line to gain had Chris jones’ fat head in the way lol that team has got a deal with the devil for sure

it was one of those things where if you follow common sense and look at two different angles it is impossible to conclude he didn’t get it but they wouldn’t overturn it

OK, they should have gotten that first down.  But usually that play gets Josh three yards downfield.  He was doing well to get a yard, over and over.
