Cray51 Posted Monday at 07:40 PM Posted Monday at 07:40 PM Probably 4th on my list of trade targets if we were going for a WR factoring in cost and cap hit 1) Jakobi Meyers (in a package deal for Max Crosby) 2) Jayden Reed 3) Waddle 4) Pickens 5) Christian Watson 6) Kupp Quote

BUT he still isn't the ideal type that I want. I want a more natural separator. Pickens is as good a contested catch guy and there is but ideally I want someone who is going to get open. There is only one top WR and he isn't getting to 10. Pickens is a head case. You guys were upset with Diggs this guy is on another level I would be staying far away 1 1 Quote

Esp. if the cost is a 2nd rounder. This instantly upgrades our offense and gives us a WR who can do it all: separate, win 1 on 1, etc. Sure, he is crazy. I live in Pittsburgh, he's nuts. But he can ball. Also, we brought on Steph who was a vet and had sway over Josh. Pickens would not have that. We could resign Cooper to have another Vet in the room. We'd have Cooper, Pickens, Shakir, and Coleman and Hollins (another vet who is a bit mercurial, perhaps he can calm Pickens down). He’s Diggs x 100 in terms of problem/ head case..oh thr locker room fun Quote

Maybeeee if he's got like 2 years left on deal and are ok letting him walk, but absolutely not a day over 2 seasons. Call up Miami and keep in touch up to draft day to see what they want for that scumbag. Seems like he might have some interest in playing for us, and he's the type of move that puts us over the top. He's a dirtball and I hate him, but he's gunna be in the league anyways and I am so sick of losing I DO NOT CARE. Win one with a degenerate anchor on society of a player and then we can scout and draft only good Catholic and Christian boys from ND SMU and Texas Christian for all I care Quote

His 3025 cap hit is listed at $3.77m. Otherwise, I can see it now. And if it happens I'll start myself on fire outside the stadium. Pickens goes to KC and costs the Chiefs next to nothing and has the season of his life in 2025. Quote

Jay_Fixit Posted Monday at 08:16 PM Posted Monday at 08:16 PM 100%. Dude is fantastic. I don't care about his attitude. He wants to win. His hands, body control, all of it would instantly upgrade this team. He's also only 23. Those voting no to this are weird. 21 minutes ago, Bullfrog said: My friend who is a die hard Steelers fan is sick of his diva attitude. Chicken Boo Posted Monday at 08:17 PM Posted Monday at 08:17 PM I wouldn't want Pickens for a 5th rounder. Quote

And why would LV be looking to trade their best WR away in a season where they will most likely be drafting their new franchise QB? Reed is a possibility, but it would have to be an enticing offer to GB to come off a productive receiver they have for cheap for two more seasons. Doubt Miami would even think about trading Waddle within the division to a team they're chasing, not to mention his contract is a nightmare with how it balloons after 2026. Pickens would be a locker room problem. The writing is already on the wall with that guy. Watson is another possibility, but you run into the same problem with him that you do with Reed. They have him on the cheap for next season. I could only see the trade if they already know they don't intend to re-sign him, which I don't know why they wouldn't unless he asking price is too high. Kupp is possible, but he turns 32 this year and with the Rams being in contention, I don't know why they would want to move him unless they see him as washed. Quote

Not sure adding them helps the WR core. Watson is brittle and not a guy I think can count on. Waddle and Pickens play on outside and give us and help us. I voted to trade for Pickens because to me he's best on your list yet ultimately prefer keeping Cooper on a friendly deal. Quote

The hope hear would be catch him with only a year or two on contract.... maybe having a competitive team and alpha QB, along with wanting a 9 digit contact from SOMEONE (not us)... would be enough to keep him in line. I think it's a solid argument that completely revolves around trade capital; UPSIDE: diontae johnson type compensation package might be worth the higher-end of a flyer. DOWNSIDE: well he goes full 2024 Diontae Johnson and has 52 men in the locker room wanting to scar their knuckles on his teeth. I'm sure Beane did some homework around his draft time: likely does his homework and tries to talk to a few people in the know with or affiliated with Pittsburgh. Maybe dude has a legitimate gripe (probably not LOL but Beane and staffs job to confirm or deny). Get your intel, assign a value... he's an a-hole were not giving Pitt a kiko Alonso jersey in value. Or: mixed bag, he's got some legit gripes about playing with bad qbs, but still has bad attitude. Maybe a 5th is worth it. Or: Tomlin lost whole locker room. Pickett banged his baby mama and Russ Wilson refused to target him because he didn't like the gangster rap lyrics in lockeroom. You really never know but he's somebody beane has to do his homework on and know is he red-taped off limits? 6th rder? Or is this dude completely misunderstood and we'd willingly give up a 2nd for a guy in the wrong home? Wish we could see THAT GM version of Hard Knocks. The gritty stuff Quote
