ShakAttack Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) Cooper DeJean was commonly regarded as the realistic "BPA" at our draft position, but many of us (including myself) were not open to using our first pick on a non-WR. To be fair, I was hoping to either trade-up for BTJ or draft McConky / AD Mitchell if we stayed put, and if I knew we were going to end up taking Coleman, I probably would have rather just take DeJean because Coleman and Worthy (ironically) were the 2 wrs that I specifically did not want the Bills to draft. But as I watched DeJean against the Commanders and witnessed the undeniable impact he had on that game, it begged the question: Do we think Cooper DeJean makes a difference for us yesterday? Enough of a difference to have a different outcome? Or was it always likely going to come down to Allen and Joe Brady finding a way to deliver a game-winning drive? I tend to think that with these 2 teams, regardless of how the first 3 quarters play out, it will always come down to living and dying with Allen and his cape at the end of the game, but I would like to hear your thoughts... MrEpsYtown Posted January 27 Posted January 27 He's a blue-chipper. Somehow the Eagles continue to grab guys like him, Mitchell, and Jalen Carter. It's insane how well they do in the draft. 2 1 Quote
RyanC883 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I think he makes a difference for sure. He's better than what we have back there. Taking Coleman was a total waste. Can't separate. This is another instance of Bean zeroing in on a position early with suboptional results. (DL with Greg and Boogie). Interestingly, when Bean seemingly goes BPA later in the draft his results are much better (Spencer Brown, Shakir, Milano, Bernard, Bendford). 1 Quote
Pete Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I would of been ok with Cooper DeJean. He was by far BPA, and a blue chip in the low 30s. Then maybe trade up for WRs 1 2 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Yes, the guy has done really well this year. 1 Quote

I don’t think that’s changed a whole lot. He was really good in big games and I’m sure that’s why they took him but homeboy was invisible last night. 1 Quote

He has already taken a CB and still took Dejean where he did because the value was too good to pass up. 2 Quote
Chicken Boo Posted January 27 Posted January 27 No. The Bills do not create pressure like the Eagles defense does. 1 Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I wanted T'Vondre Sweat. Don't know if he makes a major difference last night, but would have helped throughout the season plenty. Finished with a 76+ PFF grade if that's your thing. 1 Quote
JP51 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 He would have made a bigger difference than Coleman thats for sure. 1 Quote
