That is no more than a 6/10 for difficulty by NFL standards The ball really seemed to be curving in mid-air. It's not an easy catch by any means, but he absolutely must come up with it, especially with his role as a possession WR/"pass-catching" TE. Also, watching it live on TV, I thought it was a blind panicked heave from Josh, but from this angle you can see how he actually finds the open man and generally delivers a miraculous, catchable pass into his hands. Edit: The more I watch the wider screened version of this play from behind, the less and less sympathy I have for Kincaid. It was an incredibly "makeable" play. colin Posted Monday at 07:03 PM Posted Monday at 07:03 PM bad protection call from josh and the c, bad drop by kinkaid, bad decision to have guys like benford and kinkaid risking their physical well being while not being effectively healthy, and most of all horrible coaching to have the one thing that was working, cook, have zero touches in the last drive of the season. we are a stupid team. 1 1 Quote

If Kincaid catches that ball, imagine the narrative today about Josh Allen, along with our (potential) joy. UGH It's funny how some thought Kincaid might turn into a version of Kelce. After 2 full seasons that topic has done a 180°. Quote

Had Kincaid made that catch, I think the game is at least going to overtime, but with my rose-colored glasses, feel we could've put it in the endzone with basically no time left. Quote

Hence the "potential" I had in parenthesis. But at the very least, we have a first down in field goal range with 3 time outs and under 3 minutes left to play I believe? Quote
Cray51 Posted Monday at 07:04 PM Posted Monday at 07:04 PM No excuse for Kincaid to not make the catch, and he will tell you as much. It's not Dalton going "I had a torn PCL, so I couldn't adjust", it's Knox being a great teammate and defending his guy. They both know he missed a catchable ball. I'm sure the PCL impacted his mobility. He seemed less explosive through contact, he wasn't fighting as hard for yards as last year. Just sucks - the fanbase is going to crucify him (partly justifiable), and he is just playing through injuries working his butt off. It's life, but it sucks Quote
Dr.Mantis_Toboggan Posted Monday at 07:04 PM Posted Monday at 07:04 PM So? ***** him, he should retire. Step up or step out. Tired of this coddling culture. I thought McDermott was supposed to change the culture but he seems far too content with constantly coming up short when it matters most. Kincaid will be the Norwood of this team, except Norwood’s kick was harder to make than this catch. Seriously, just get this loser off my team. 1 Quote

He's tried to become more physical in the NFL, but it's probably why he is always getting hurt, with his frame. 1 Quote

Makes great play calls in huge spots and they help win them games. We’re playing an all time dynasty and coming up just short. While it some say it’s an indictment of McDermott not being good enough- some may say it’s just Reid and Spags being better than everyone else. We’ll find out in 2 weeks. I think the matchups favor Philly. Coaching matchup KC - but Fangio is interesting Not too many QBs recognize what's happening on the snap and are able to make that throw. At least not with any power or accuracy. I would even say probably many end up taking a sack there. 2 1 1 Quote
Mr. WEO Posted Monday at 07:06 PM Posted Monday at 07:06 PM why is it that the AP is using as its source the other TE? Quote

I just can't get over the irony with Andrews dropping an even easier catch for the Ravens last week. And at the time, I remember thinking, "What?!? The BILLS won a game like this??? It wasn't OUR TIGHT END with the crushing drop???" MAYBE, just MAYBE it's a sign that our playoff luck has finally turned for the better! And then in a scenario that you can't make up, we suffer the same fate.......... cause of our tight end. 1 Quote
Sojourner Posted Monday at 07:10 PM Posted Monday at 07:10 PM Josh made the initial error by sliding that protection. He absolved himself by somehow making a ridiculous throw that was catchable. Torrence and Edwards, ouch. That hurts to watch for the 10th time. Not going in-depth as it’s pretty clear to see the error. The fact the LG is chasing towards one of the 2 guys that Torrence let free is the ball game. That throws is breadbasket to Kincaid if Josh steps into it. Kincaid is the end result, not the biggest to blame in a series of events but the buck stops at him. It’s in the arms. You have to catch that. 1 1 Quote
stevestojan Posted Monday at 07:10 PM Posted Monday at 07:10 PM He didn’t even need to dive. Easy catch? Nope. A catch a starting nfl TE has to make every time? 100%. Look, I’m not going to ***** all over him for it, but I’m also not saying it didn’t potentially cost us a Super Bowl. 1 Quote

Josh does things that no other qb I've seen can do. That would've been a legendary play if Dalton can make a basic basket catch. All I know is compared to Reid & Spags, McDermott and his coordinators are children. 3 Quote

Yeah, the irony is clearly not lost on the football gods who clearly hate the Buffalo Bills… I just can’t get over the throw Josh made… idk how he got the ball there, but Superman put on his cape, unfortunately the Justice League was nowhere to be found. 1 Quote

Right before their kicker knocks a game winning 64 yard field goal straight through the uprights in a snow and wind storm. 😆 1 1 Quote

There is no indication that it was fully severed(unlikely though) and not even mention of whether it will require surgery(which also wouldn't necessarily mean it was a full tear but would at least support the notion that it was a higher grade of strain, which we all should have thought given his slow return anyway). It's always a slippery slope for the team or teammates to float this BS out there. If it's torn entirely he could easily just choose to play the rest of his career without it. Whole lotta' stars played most of their careers without certain knee ligaments including a bunch of HoF'ers. He just needs to take his lumps for his drop like Tyler Bass did his miss last year, own it and decide if he wants to be an NFL star or accept that he is just a guy out there and cash those checks. 2 1 Quote
