Einstein Posted Monday at 07:54 PM Posted Monday at 07:54 PM I'll take Allen over Mahomes any day. The Worthy trade on the other hand? Beyond dumb. Quote

This is such nonsense. Both teams got an elite QB out of it. It is probably one of the more quality trades in NFL history. Quote

Granted, who knew he'd become what he has, but what a kick in the groin. I am not saying we should've taken Mahomes, I love Josh, but man what may have been had we not traded that pick. And the the bills did the same thing with worthy this past year. Not that worthy was really anything great this season, but him having over 100 yards and a td last night is another kick in the groin. Happy Monday everyone! I'm still pissed Wish he had gone to the Bears. Quote

He might win his 4th SB and 3rd after trading Tyreek Hill. They lost their best wr this year, had a key one get hurt for most of the year, have garbage OTs, and lost one game. the pretzel some fans do to try and discredit mahomes is such a cope. It’s why I can’t even get as mad as I want. He will make the winning plays when he needs to. Quote

Allen can do everything Mahomes can do, but Mahomes can't do everything Allen can do. Don't give me the hardware argument, either. Swap the two quarterbacks; you think Saint Patrick could take this otherwise-average Bills teams this far? If so, you either bought into Groupthink or aren't being honest. Nothing personal! You're a Bills fan, which absolves almost all sins. Quote
ghostwriter Posted Monday at 08:14 PM Posted Monday at 08:14 PM Let’s not pretend like coaching didn’t factor into the development of Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City has by far the better coaching staff. Mahomes has Reid. Allen had Dennison, Daboll, Dorsey and Brady. No contest. They also have the better D too. For McD being a defensive connoisseur, boy are his defenses soft. His defenses get out coached time and time again. Soft. Quote

Once considered unbeatable. 3-0 in Super Bowls for Cowboys. 3-1 for Chiefs. On their way to 5th Super Bowl in 7 years and QB is still under 30. The Bills gave up nowhere near what the Vikings gave up. Quote

Coaching does matter, and not only do we have Reid to deal with, but Spags is also elite at his job. Supporting cast as well. Chiefs have at least 3 players going to the HOF, if not more. DapperCam Posted Monday at 08:18 PM Posted Monday at 08:18 PM Would love to see Mahomes throwing to Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes instead of Hill and Kelce. Would have been quite entertaining. Something tells me the narrative would have been different in that scenario… Quote
oldmanfan Posted Monday at 08:22 PM Posted Monday at 08:22 PM Love Josh as we all do. To me he is better physically at playing QB than Mahomes. But Mahomes is better at reading defenses and pre-snap adjustments. Mahomes is right there with Brady on that. Put it this way: on our last 4th down play Josh said he should have adjusted protection. I’d bet Mahomes reads that and checks to a successful play . Quote

Though admittedly he is even better than I thought he would be. I thought he would be a more accurate Brett Favre... 1 Quote

It's complete revisionist history to think that he was a slam dunk That's not really 100 percent accurate in the sense that there WAS a lot of interest in taking him high. KC traded with the Bills because they were certain that Sean Payton/Loomis were going to take him at 11. It's interesting to think about Mahomes in a Payton system. He probably would have performed similarly. Quote
