Who knows and we'll never know, but I think if you put Josh in that same situation, I think Josh already has at least one ring by now, if not multiple. Alex Smith was a winner in KC after getting run out of San Fran. He turned Vick into a pro bowler after being out of the league for awhile. Hell even Kevin Kolb was average under Reid. 1 Quote

Buftex Posted Monday at 05:29 PM Posted Monday at 05:29 PM And I still remember how many here laughed when they heard that Whaley wanted the Bills to take Mahomes...hindsight is always 20/20 Quote

It's complete revisionist history to think that he was a slam dunk It true they said the same things about him as Allen, Raw, High ceiling, boom or bust, etc... that being said... we really do need to stop trading with the Chiefs.. if they want something we should try to stop it... they seem to know what they are doing. T.E. Posted Monday at 05:31 PM Posted Monday at 05:31 PM Allen is better than Mahomes in a vacuum; he is just saddled with a moronic coaching staff while Mahomes has the greatest offensive play-caller of all time at his disposal. 1 1 3 Quote

When is this going to stop? It's patently false. Mahomes outplayed Allen AGAIN yesterday,a nd he looked cool as a cucumber doing it. The game has never been too big for him - not once. Mahomes is in a tier of 1 right now and in a tier of 2 all-time. It's him and Brady - that's it. 1 3 Quote

SoonerBillsFan Posted Monday at 05:35 PM Posted Monday at 05:35 PM Lets see, the trade got us White (not on the roster) and T Edmunds (not on the roster). HOF QB for two guys not on the roster, sorry but thats a horrible trade. 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted Monday at 05:36 PM Posted Monday at 05:36 PM I am glad. Screw Him. I dont want anyone but Allen. 1 Quote

Allen was on the road against the best blitzing team in the league. Allen was under pressure from the first snap of the game until the last and he stood in there and made great throws all night. Mahomes missed some throws and fumbled. Anytime he was under any pressure which was very little he looked pretty different and not cool as a cucumber. 1 1 1 Quote

I love Josh as I said, but we litterally gave Mahomes to kc. It's just so unbelievable sometimes If we had stayed put and taken Mahomes, who's to say the Chiefs would not have landed Josh Allen in 2018? Can you imagine Josh in Andy Reid's system? I was trying to draw up a reply but you did it for me. Does anyone honestly think Josh would have looked so flustered against the Bills defense? And vice versa. As you say, when Mahomes was put under pressure he looked anything but cool. 1 Quote

Not saying Mahomes isn't great because he is, but comparing the two when Mahomes was playing against our lousy D when Josh was playing the KC D that has carried them all year isn't really fair. I think Josh would shred our D too. They are comparable talent-wise, with Mahomes given the edge based on resume. 1 Quote
zow2 Posted Monday at 05:40 PM Posted Monday at 05:40 PM I don't look at it that we "gave" Mahomes to KC. Reason is we were never drafting him. The Bills would've made their pick (not for Pat), the Chiefs may have traded with the next team and gotten him. Quote
transient Posted Monday at 05:51 PM Posted Monday at 05:51 PM (edited) You think that's funny, stop to consider that we're tied to this defensive philosophy that has prevented Allen from winning a SB because it belongs to the HC whereas when KC realized they had a defensive problem that was hindering their eventual HOF QB's chances they brought in Spags because they could. Now THAT'S a real knee slapper. Edited Monday at 05:53 PM by transient 1 Quote

He needed every break imaginable to go his way, every officiating call to go his way, and a complete meltdown by our coaching staff to beat us by three - at home, no less. There's a reason Allen the has better playoff head-to-head stats yet still loses over and over again to Mahomes, and it's not because he's getting outplayed. 1 1 Quote

At least in the beginning of games. That’s who Allen is. He gets himself too hyped up in big games. It takes him a little to settle down. Whereas Mahomes is ready to go in big games from the get go. That’s not coaching or anything external. It’s their personality. One has his emotions under control at all times and the other not so much. Quote

Josh is 7-6. Any other stat is supplementary. Quote
