Steptide Posted Monday at 04:57 PM Posted Monday at 04:57 PM I mean, on top of losing seemingly every year to kc in the playoffs, the bills gave kc the pick to get Mahomes. Granted, who knew he'd become what he has, but what a kick in the groin. I am not saying we should've taken Mahomes, I love Josh, but man what may have been had we not traded that pick. And the the bills did the same thing with worthy this past year. Not that worthy was really anything great this season, but him having over 100 yards and a td last night is another kick in the groin. Happy Monday everyone! I'm still pissed 4 1 1 1 Quote
Roundybout Posted Monday at 04:58 PM Posted Monday at 04:58 PM ? Worthy didn’t have 100 yards last night, he hasn’t topped 100 receiving yards/game all season? Quote

finn Posted Monday at 05:02 PM Posted Monday at 05:02 PM Give me a hundred chances to take Mahomes or Allen, and I would take Allen every time. On the other hand, I would take Creed Humphrey over Boogie Basham and McDuffie over Elam. They can keep Worthy, though. Sounds like an a-hole. 2 1 1 1 Quote
GerstAusGosheim Posted Monday at 05:04 PM Posted Monday at 05:04 PM Sean trading the Mahomes pick to Andy will go down as the worst trade in NFL history if it isn’t already. 1 1 2 1 Quote

Happy Monday everyone! I'm still pissed We'd probably be talking about Mahomes in the same way we're talking about Josh right now. Future HoF QB but the team cannot get over the line. Would things be that different if the Chiefs then positioned themselves to take Josh the following the year? With him having Reid instead of McD, Spags and Chris Jones instead of Frasier/Babbich and the ever injured Milano? Mahomes being called on during his first season rather than being able to sit behind and learn from Alex Smith? I grudgingly admit Mahomes' key strength over Josh is mental strength. I thought he had sorted it out but the opening drive last night indicated otherwise, albeit not helped by playcalls. But I don't think the difference is that stark that switching the QBs would be enough to get the Bills to one SB, let alone four. 2 1 Quote
TheBrownBear Posted Monday at 05:05 PM Posted Monday at 05:05 PM Mahomes will collect his 4th trophy this year. Getting to Curse of the Bambino levels. 2 minutes ago, GerstAusGosheim said: Sean trading the Mahomes pick to Andy will go down as the worst trade in NFL history if it isn’t already. Will be hilarious if Worthy somehow turns into Tyreek Hill (on the field, not the rap sheet) and we ended up trading two HOF'ers to the Chiefs. Quote
Buffalo03 Posted Monday at 05:07 PM Posted Monday at 05:07 PM It still cracks me up that people don't realize that if the roles reversed and Mahomes was here and Allen was in Kansas that Mahomes would have nothing and Allen would have at least 2 rings 2 1 Quote
Low Positive Posted Monday at 05:07 PM Posted Monday at 05:07 PM Mahomes actually panning out as a QB from a college air raid system went against league-wide conventional wisdom at the time. It's complete revisionist history to think that he was a slam dunk 1 1 Quote

Buffalo_Stampede Posted Monday at 05:09 PM Posted Monday at 05:09 PM Even more funny, the guy everyone hates because they drafted him instead of Mahomes is Allen’s back up. 1 Quote

Who knows and we'll never know, but I think if you put Josh in that same situation, I think Josh already has at least one ring by now, if not multiple. Edited Monday at 05:10 PM by Billz4ever 1 Quote
Yobogoya! Posted Monday at 05:16 PM Posted Monday at 05:16 PM Out of all the stupid things I can criticize this regime for, this trade is a pretty nothing burger for me honestly. No one batted a lash at the time of the trade, and Mahomes sat for a full year with no one giving a crap. He was not some slam dunk selection. I do think we got hosed moving down to 27 from 10 tho. We should have reaped more for that trade in general, wouldn’t matter who KC wanted. But our GM was a lame duck Doug Whaley at the time so 🤷♂️ 1 Quote
streetkings01 Posted Monday at 05:16 PM Posted Monday at 05:16 PM (edited) I watched every QB under Reid play at or close to a winning level. Remember McDermott is the same coach that gave Josh Allen Zay Jones, Benjamin and Foster to throw to his first year. It took until his 3rd year before we got the guy a #1 reciever in Diggs. Mahomes came to the Chiefs with Kelce and Hill already on the roster and in their prime. Edited Monday at 05:18 PM by streetkings01 1 Quote
