Governor Posted Monday at 06:27 PM Posted Monday at 06:27 PM Yeah it was stupid. We found out that we couldn’t play “our game” on the road at Arrowhead. At times we almost flipped it but our OL got wrecked 2/3 of the time. Quote

The decision to take the XP off the board and take the 2 point try was aggressive but probably the right move analytically. However, QB sneak is your best play there? You have to get an entire yard....Did not like it in the moment. Then in the second half up by one with the ball, they ran it I think 4 times out of like 8 plays, none of them were particularly successful yet they just kept at it. After the third down, I was like roll him out and give him options, nope lets do it again. Josh new they were stopping them so he did the leap over the pile move at midfield which was a bad move, you are fumbling there, he did, they got it back but that should have been enough for Brady and McDermott to step in and put an end to it. Nope lets do it again....this time its super close and we blame the refs....I think he got it but the call to do it again was way worse than anything the refs did there. That play turned the game. That was a turnover that KC needed. After the last QB sneak where Josh barely made it after 2 attempts was when they should’ve gone to Cook. The guy with 16 TDs. The sneak has worked well for us the past 2 years, but KC was stopping it. Time to hand it off to the guy who’s job is to run it Quote
Ray Stonada Posted Monday at 06:58 PM Posted Monday at 06:58 PM Also Josh is taking a pounding on these plays Quote
Allen2Moulds Posted Monday at 07:07 PM Posted Monday at 07:07 PM I couldn't agree more. I was begging for a rollout, or pitch to Cook. Chiefs were totally selling out to stop the play, and there were opportunities to be had. That and the 3rd and 10 screen pass to Amari. Josh had finally settled in, and started having more success through the air. Here are the final 4 plays, if I remember correctly...Ty Johnson run for no gain, batted ball, screen pass to Amari, and than the desperation heave. Screen pass is a glorified run. I would rather give Josh at least one more opportunity. That was the game, and the excessive sneaks, compounded by a bad spot. Quote
dorquemada Posted Monday at 07:09 PM Posted Monday at 07:09 PM Spagnola is a better DC than any OC the Bills have had or will have Keeping Cook on the sideline in Q4 is coaching malpractice. Too cute by half, then running the same QB sneak what 5 times? I'm sure KC couldn't believe their luck to be scheming against such halfwits Quote
ngbills Posted Monday at 07:21 PM Posted Monday at 07:21 PM You have to fake it or change it up at least one time in the playoffs to keep teams honest. Run it out of a difference formation at the least. Do something to disrupt the timing. Not just play the we all know what is going on here but we think we can do it anyway game. Quote
