Am I the only one watching the game tonight? It's the last football game of the year. I'm making wings and drinking beer. BTW, people complicate wings. They are really easy if you have an air fryer.

  • Pre-heat the air fryer at 400F for 10 minutes
  • Put wings in basket. They all have to touch bottom in a single layer with some space around them. You'll have to work in batches.
  • Fry wings for 12 minutes at 400
  • Take out and toss lightly in sauce (2 parts Franks, 1 part unsalted butter)
  • Fry for another 10 minutes at 400.
  • Toss in sauce and eat

That's it. If you want them hotter, add cayenne pepper to the sauce. Also, they are even better if you put them in the oven on the "keep warm" setting for a bit while you fry the rest.

Hmmmmmm - not sure about that.  Why would I care about a "fan" who would change their allegiance on a dime, or hop on any bandwagon as long as it was in their general region?  Philly can have those kinds of fans.

Chiefs fans are incredibly annoying in their own right - especially about Josh Allen.  It's really never enough for them that Mahomes is perceived as the best - they have to (in general) trash Allen and try to diminish what he has done.

Tonight is a no brainer for me. I want Philly in the most lopsided blowout imaginable.

It's not about changing allegiance on a dime it's about new fans.   That's basically kids/young adults age 5-20 mostly.

Those Giants SB wins had a tangible impact on the amount of non-Bills fans that exist in the Binghamton to Bath or Syracuse to Rochester ranges.   The Eagles have an impact into CNY.......where they are currently local team #3.  Way ahead of the Jets.......because the Jets haven't won or been in a SB in half a century.

These areas are closer to Buffalo than to Philly or Meadowlands, they are in NYS and should be almost entirely Bills fandom.

As far as Chiefs fans being annoying?   Where?  Not in western/upstate NY regions.   They barely exist.   And they will never have the reach that teams like Pittsburgh or Dallas have.   NY and northern PA is our footprint in the US.  I understand that some people think the world is the internet but the reality is that the people who keep the stadium full and impact the local economies by spending on the Bills are those in the region.   The less success teams like NYG and Philly have the better it is for us.

The success the Chiefs have is not tangibly relevant to the long term health of the Bills franchise.   A SB loss won't devastate them.......they are still going to be back in contention for it for the foreseeable future.   A terrible game by Jalen Hurts?   Maybe Howie decides to shake things up.

I think what the Eagles are accomplishing is being undersold

Being in 2 of the last 3 SBs while your coach is apparently always in danger of getting fired and 3 of the last 8 is very impressive

They think they are a dynasty already.   Vic Fangio 0-9 all time against Mahomes?  No problem in their minds.

The plan: tune in just in time for the kickoff. Watch one drive from each team. Come back in two hours. Fast forward thru halftime show to see if Kendrick Lamar does Not Like Us. Go away again. Check score at the end of 3. Watch if it's close. Get on with life.

I will say this, Philadelphia went through an incredible roster re-tooling from that last Super Bowl to this one in 3 short years.  I hope Beane is taking notes

Absolutely... and their beat down of the Chiefs tonight was wonderful.

Watching the Chiefs get crushed while the refs called a fair game was cathartic, not gonna lie.

Watching Mahomes take a shot to the head without drawing a penalty had me grinning ear to ear.

I'll go into a funk after the superbowl when its golf and pre-tournament college basketball and its still February.

This never ending winter hasn't helped.  I'm ready to hate doing yardwork again

I went on a self-imposed exile from sports media.  I committed to not visiting TBD, or any other sports site, until after the Super Bowl.  I didn't want to read about who to blame for the Bills loss or wallow in the misery.  I filled my time with reading, writing, meditating, hiking, cycling, and other healthier things.

This is my first post in weeks.

Tonight helped.

Yes and no. I'm glad the Chiefs lost but it also made you realize it should have been us in the SB. Chiefs are who we thought they were this year. Frauds.
