notpolian Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Go fishing and then take a multi-week overseas vacation in February. It's good to be retired! Folks under 40 - it'll be ok. With an average life expectancy you may see a Bills super bowl in your lifetime. Yesterday wasn't so bad for me, maybe a 4/10. 13 seconds was about 8/10 because for a moment I actually thought the Bills would win. Super Bowl 25 was at least a 10/10. Maybe 14/10. It was rough. I was going to tell the story here if the Bills had won yesterday. I hope to get the chance someday. 1 Quote

My son gets me through it. He’s 3. Right after the game he comes in and says hey daddy can I come in and hang out with you now and put a smile on my face. Definitely eases the loss of a football game when what’s really important walks in a minute after the game That's great and the true pleasures of life!!! I had to chuckle though because you said after the game he comes in as if you locked yourself away from the family for the game. LOL Quote

My oldest is 16 year old Giants fan….this morning he told me you win some you lose some dad with a grin on his face 😬…..my oldest is a jerk! Well, if your oldest son is still under 21 there's hope. Remember what Mark Twain said ... When I was 14 I was surprised at how ignorant my old man was. By the time I was 21 I was surprised at how much he had learned in 7 years. 0017 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I can’t watch anything football related for a couple weeks, so I’m currently re-watching Modern Family, it doesn’t 100% work but it helps. Quote

Call_Of_Ktulu Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Unfortunately the only thing that will bring me back is McD being fired. That’s probably not going to happen and I’m fine taking a year off. Quote
GolfandBills Posted January 27 Posted January 27 If you let the outcome of a professional sport bother you that much you should probably rethink some things Quote
Bookie Man Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Gonna cash out some crypto and buy a car. Ha jk. I was going to do that anyway. Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Happy birthday to me 🤣 Wide right was worse. Deactivating Facebook was a great idea. I’m going to enjoy my family and try to control what I can control in my life. I have to look at these guys as entertainment at this point. But man they had me this time. 1 Quote

Chaos Posted January 27 Posted January 27 One of my children is a high school varsity basketball head coach. So I am shifting my emotional sports investment to high school basketball for the next couple months. As far as the Bills go, in the last off-season I maintained the Bills were a lock to win the division, and a lock to advance to the divisional round of the playoffs, and then we would see where we stand. I am making the same prediction for the 2025 season. We will find out about a year from now if we improved. Everything in between now and then, from free agency to the draft to the preseason to the regular season is just for fun. Won't show us much of anything. Quote
Bills fan since 87 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Go Amerks I guess. Going to my first game of the season on Friday, but nothing else comes close to my Bills passion. Sportswise or really in life....Just a miserable place to be...Again. Quote
