I'm in a bad mental spot. I'm sure many of you are.

What are you doing to get out of it? No sarcastic responses, please.

We can make any excuses we want - the refs, the defense, McDermott, etc. - but the fact is they were so close... again... and same result. It feels pointless to continue as a fan.

I'm catching up with old friends. And by old friends, I mean all the negative posters who are suddenly back at TBD. I missed them so.

This won't help and is the main reason why today stinks but....Chiefs are going to be much better after another draft and a healthy Rice as their number 1 receiver. Bengals will bounce back big time and who knows what other teams could take a big leap.

Buffalo was as healthy as you could expect at this time of year and they STILL could not get it done. 6 minutes left and you have the ball in a tie game? 3 minutes left with the ball down by 3? Neither time they could get it done and Buffalo completely deserved to lose that game. Mahomes gets that done 10 out of 10 times where Buffalo continues to puke on themselves every year.

How to get out of the funk? Time is what it will take knowing that Buffalo had PLENTY of chances to win this game and they could not get it done.

Life goes on. As bad as it feels and as cliche as it sounds, this builds character. If life was perfect and you had nothing to prove then what would motivate you? Hopefully the team uses this as fuel to progress to the next level of whatever their goals are. And if and when they do win, it will be that much more meaningful.

I have stopped taking football as seriously over the years, unfortunately its the only way to not be personally bothered by a game. Laughing is good - the bias stings and makes me question the integrity of the sport

Live my life, hang out with my family more, continue to strive to be a better person. Yes I love my Bill's, but in the big picture it's just a game. The team provided me with a lot of great moments this season, far more than most people expected. I appreciate the memories and look forward to next season!

Go on living life, with gut rotting pain, for a day or two.

I tried every Karma trick in the book and it didn’t work.  I even sacrificed not watching any games live after the Ravens and we kept winning (minus) the Rams, I tried to be on my best behavior and take a humble  approach against arrogant fans of opposing teams.

Honestly, probably not much a fan base can do to influence things.

Decompress.

I'll be reading the boards today and listening to the sports talk shows and deal with the agony but starting tomorrow I will start cutting back on my NFL consumption for a little bit.  Catch up on movies and TV shows.  Start going to the driving range and look forward to the arrival of golf season.

Being a Bills fan is an intense hobby, it's good to step away a bit after the season is over and reset yourself

It is just a game after all. Yeah it sucks and we get emotionally invested in it, but that is where the joy is. We got some self reflecting and scouting to do, then FA and the draft. Take a few days and relax and come back

Sorry but this is officially the way I feel. With the exception of Josh Allen and a very small handful of players,  the rest of this team just doesn't play with the same passion or intensity. Our coaches always get outcoached.  You can set your watch to it.  And speaking of watches, this Bills experience over these last 8 years seems like nothing more than the movie Groundhogs Day.  I'm now in a position to convince myself for the 56th time to "wait until next year".
