JerseyBills Posted January 27 Posted January 27 One of the biggest story lines not being talked about, already down our S, and we lose our CB1 . Essentially went from an advantage to Elam, who was a liability 3 1 7 3 1 Quote
davefan66 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Elam better be outright released ASAP. He will never be a quality NFL corner…ever. Looked bewildered out there. Couple him with Damar on the field?? What did anyone expect. Rapp and Benford need to stay. Douglas didn’t look great but still believe he can be good. Damar can hit the bricks also…done with him. Need a new starting safety and better backups. Problem is you need a quality pass rush to give the dbacks a chance. Don’t get that from our line. 3 3 1 2 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Please. Defenses always suffer some injuries especially soft undersized ones. It’s a garbage scheme when it depends on every single player being healthy or we completely crumble in big games. 5 2 2 Quote
oldmanfan Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) It hurt. I thought Bishop played OK as did Hamlin. Kelce wasn't really a factor. I am surprised they didn't put Ingram in for Elam. Edited January 27 by oldmanfan 2 4 Quote

K D Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Elam is the worst draft pick I've ever seen. If he wasn't picked in round 1 he would have never made the team at any point. We have drafted and released late round and undrafted guys that are better. How can you miss THAT badly? 4 1 Quote
WNYFAN1 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I sure hope they didn't "rush" him through the concussion protocol. Not saying they did, but boy that was was a BAD look. Hope he's ok 3 1 Quote
bmur66 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) Should have told Elam to just go get the ball. Edited January 27 by bmur66 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Elam was neutered by the coaching staff. Horrible development of the kid. 1 2 Quote
notpolian Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I was wondering if they would try Ingram yesterday at some point. I'm glad Benford has several months off. He didn't look good. Quote
dma0034 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Injuries happen. In a week where Benford didn't practice much to have Elam not remotely ready is on coaching 1 Quote
T.E. Posted January 27 Posted January 27 We could've had an in-his-prime Deion Sanders replace him, and our coaching staff would've still put him in a position to not make any plays on the ball. 2 Quote
stlbills13 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Elam was awful Bishop other than one or two plays was actually pretty solid I thought Hamlin was awful 1 2 Quote
Back2Buff Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I dont understand how Elam goes from consistently inactive to the 3rd CB. 1 1 Quote

For a coaching staff that has developed far less "pure talent", coaching isn't the problem. Elam has a slew of others problems, but on the field primarily it's his "handyiness". If anything, he needed those neutered. Quote

Thought he’s played pretty well. Quote

Now he’s bailing on everything. Quote

I get your frustration. But we played a lot of man to man yesterday. Which is what we needed to do against KC. Problem is we don't have the players with sufficient talent to play man to man. Ol Prime was quite the man coverage dude. I was amused when I heard him say recently "Prime don't play no zone". Quote
