Man, this is the part that hurts.  All the stats in this Allen/McD showing the Bills are the "First team in history" to do this and that...and now Josh is known for being the first QB in NFL history to be winless 4 times against the same QB in the playoffs.  I believe three other QB's are tied at 0-3, one being Dan Marino (vs Jim Kelly) in their playoff history.

As Bills fans we can talk about all the great things JA has done for this franchise that we'll never see again,,, but Nationally this is his legacy unless something changes in the last half of his career.

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

if the dude requested a trade I wouldn’t hold it against him one bit.  I’d follow him to another team and could maybe leave this abusive relationship behind

Yep. But he's consistently said he is playing for the only team he ever wants to play for.  So we'll see how that shakes out.

I've been saying for 3 years that Allen will finish his career with his boyhood team, 49ers or with the Rams (where he lives now).

It seems too early to try and write his legacy.

Peyton Manning didn't make a SB until he was around 30.

I don't think he made one in the amount of years Allen has had.

Allen could still win rings and the narrative changes fast after winning one.

Allen has the most post-season wins without a Superbowl. It's either him or it's the franchise at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't want to re-sign after his contract is up. If he was the QB for the Rams is there any doubt he would be in the Superbowl?

I don’t think he seems the type to give up…

Im thinking he extends his contract this offseason

This is going to be the most annoying take for entire year as it was leading up to the game.

*incoming rant*

My phone has blow up by casual non-bills football fans. “Allen will never beat Mahomes”

where do they ever get this take? Tv and graphics.

Let’s breakdown!

1. Least relevant but they  must mean playoffs. Bills 4-0 season, 0-4 in playoffs

2. I know it's not exciting but talking point should be Reid vs McDermott. Nobody wants to talk all week about for example Kair Elam being picked on. What good tv does that make?!  It's not Allen vs mahomes. It's mahomes vs bills defense. It's Allen vs chiefs defense. Again I know boring

3.  But hey! Let’s still make it Allen vs mahomes in playoffs there numbers in these 4 games are both ridiculous and damn near equal

4. Can do this for all 4 games but let's do easy one 13 second game. That's a loss for Allen. He left field winning with 13 seconds left in game. He was  leading 13 seconds and  bills lost that’s on Allen though can’t beat mahomes…?

5. Let's take this year. Even better. Bill lose last night 32-29.

How many times this entire season did the Chiefs put up 32 points on offense? Zero.  Take away the last game of regular season all backups how many times this season did Chiefs  defense give up 29 points? One time…against the bills

If flip Allen and mahomes, chiefs are winning all 4 of those playoff games and I would argue by a much larger margin. But no need for hypothetical because above point are facts.

In both of our last two losses to KC, Allen got the ball at the end with a chance to win the game, and came up short. Both times.

It's not all his fault. But when you are talking legacy, that hurts. Bad.

And I hate it for him so much, because a few years ago he DID win the game, and the coaches blew it with a historic collapse.

I honestly dont think this team will ever win it all......ever......just cursed.....

I've always said this. But no, like a lot of people say, a new coach and GM will fix it all like it did so many times before lol

That’s what it all comes down too for me. That’s what separates the goods from the greats.  Brady did it. Manning did it. Mahomes did it. He had 3 minutes with all 3 timeouts to make it happen and send the Bills to the Super Bowl and only managed one first down.

They have to take a chance with a new coach. Simple as that. It's not happening with Schottenheim...I mean, McDermott.

In past years I’ve supported moving on from McD.  But this was mcds best year.  He got a below 500 roster (minus Allen) to 13 wins and the afc champ game.

I'd tell McD he did a good job but hiring within the org for coordinators isn't working.  We only get yes men and we need another perspective.  Bobby babich is a nobody.  Demote him to LBs coach or whatever and hire a proven pro like Jim Schwartz.  Then two great D minds with differing systems can bring two perspectives and create a dominant D.  Schwartz won a SB with the eagles.

Then demote Brady to run game coordinator.  I'm sorry but his schemes stink and our passing game has blown since he took over.  Allen just covers up the succ.  Bring in Doug Pederson as OC and get a proven Super Bowl winning offensive coach who can work in a spread offense with a mobile QB.

Then forget the draft and start trading for studs.  Get on the phone with Cleveland and convince them they have no chance until they clear Deshawn Watson salary.  Trade them Coleman Kinkaid and a bunch of future picks for Miles Garrett.  Set them up to be good 3 years from now and we can be good immediately.

Then go sign Tee Higgins in free agency.  Or see if you could somehow trade for Malik nabers or Brian Thomas Jr.  do both and get us some superstars.

We can find role players in the 5-6 rounds.  Every other resource needs to be 100% committed to find game destroyers like Chris Jones and kelce.

McVay would cream his pants if they got 17.
