Mcdermott looks nice on paper...but honestly....this team would be in wild card contention with a 15 year old calling madden plays.

Turns out Diggs was right. Didn't see that coming. I'm sure he sent Josh an I told you so text.

Not because of you.  Because of reality.  McD could be replaced if he has lost the faith of the team.  People are Ali yelling about replacing Brady, but from all appearances Brady and Josh have worked very well together.

We have to beat a team that is the NFL equivalent of Jordan and the Bulls.

The reality of Brady is for all the good he brought in scoring he still failed in his biggest moment. His lack of creativity is the biggest reason we lost. His inability to integrate Cooper effectively and a lesser extent MVS, was a critical flaw.  Getting away from Cook at crucial junctures of the game and repeatedly relying on the Tush push that was not working are all unforgivable offenses. It’s hard to say he’s a problem with all the success we had, but the goal isn’t to be AFC East champions, he did not show he has what it takes to win a Super Bowl . A few better calls from him and we are preparing for our 5th Super Bowl. Sadly he is a major reason we are not.

One scoring drive away from the Superbowl. One, against arguably the best football the league has ever seen. By winning 3 Championships in a row Mahomes and the Chiefs will be cemented into NFL history as the best Dynasty team ever. Only one team could beat them with starters playing this season. Buffalo

It's pretty clear Brady blows when it calls to running a passing offense.

The quality of the blocking, concepts, success rate, creativity, ability to stress the d, etc is so much better in our run game than in our pass game.  We still end up having longer to read plays and higher degree of difficulty stuff than our opponents.  Some of that is because of how horrible mcds d is, but too much of it is not playing advantage football on the offensive side.

I think our coaches are great at getting guys to get along, getting them motivated and on the same page, getting them to bleed for the team (Hamlin rapp Taron and now benford running into the fire with near certainty of permanent brain injury show that).  People love our coaching staff, and our entire front office rewards their guys with generous contracts and a seemingly family type environment.

I don't give one flying f*** about that.  I want a championship and re racking the same losing formula over and over with feel good stories about small slow dbs turning their brains into pink slime with an aw shucks let's try our best attitude isn't going to get us there.

Our prior dc walked away, defensive failures are identical to the same team in the same situation as it was before.

Dabill left for an hc job, Dorsey got the same results with another divisional loss.

Dorsey got scape goated (I don't feel bad, he sucked anyhow) and Brady came in for the next two playoffs -- losing the same way to the same team.

If changing the OC and DC gets you the same results, losing or adding a bunch of talent in different spots gets you the same results, you have to find other variables to change.

The players are in charge of the NBA. Players get coaches fired and decide who to replace them with.

I do not watch the NBA.

That would be quite concerning if our QB was to make those types of decisions.  I would never expect something like that from JA.  Maybe we could hire the coaches who been beating the Chiefs regularly the previous few years.  Yeah lets hire those guys.

Agreed.  If there was a thing to criticize about Sunday I’d put not having Cook in on the last drive

Terry Pegula is a business man who owns two pro franchises, one of which sits at the bottom of the league year in and year out. Top 5 drafts ppicks, multiple coaches and GM's and still sucks. He has no idea about being an owner, a successful owner and that will be our problem.

Mcdremott is here to stay like Tomlin in Pittsburgh and it will only take him leaving to on his own for us to get rid of him. I personally would like Pegula to give him a leadership roll with Pegula Sports and Entertainment, so he will still be employed but no longer our HC. Problem with that is he is a control freak and will convince Beane to hire a coach that is willing to run his antiquated scheme.

allen is too nice to do it, but he should walk into the owner's office and say trade me or fire the front office.

he should say he's going to give pegula 24 hours and then he's holding a press conference making it public.

pegula would waffle, and then josh would do the confrence, and then mcd and beane and the ghosts of boogie basham and nate peterman will exit buffalo.

Lol. You just described the Sabres

Unfortunately, with the way he called the game. We shouldn’t have been one drive away. We should’ve been two drives ahead.

Given such insight can you pick stocks for me?  Given you can predict the future?

The difference yesterday Sunday was coaching to this extent:  the call made by Spagnolo to completely switch up that blitz was brilliant.  And I think you could question why Cook wasn't on the field that last drive.  But when you get down to it, at crunch time the guys on the Chiefs make plays and don't make mistakes.  The Bills make little mistakes that cost them.  The past two years the offense has had the ball with time left and an opportunity to win the game and hasn't finished.  I am confident they will break through.

What do you think is more of a disaster :

McDermott giving financial advice in 13 seconds ?

McDermott giving financial advice in general?

McDermott and his defense in the playoffs?

all kidding aside, and you and I have seen enough football to know exactly what I mean by this

Sean McDermott is out of his depth , and he's especially out of his depth with this QB.

and that's putting it mildly.

Dick Jaroun was a good leader and decent coach. He simply had zero at QB. And all the success would more or less be the same if Jaroun was the coach right now. But at least Jaroun went to an ivy league school ....

I want Allen to have a higher level offensive mind as his coach and visionary as he enters his prime.

McDermott is incompetent in the playoffs. I want to move on

So basically our organization is tremendous at human resources yet sucks badly at game day decisions.  Let's see what that gets us.....squat

two better coaches right now:

bellicheck and mccarthy.

mccarthy is a kinda dumb corch, but he won a chip and had greenbay in the nfc chip game many times, and he got them to run a good offense consistently.

at worst he'd have the same results as mcd.  he got that trash dallas team w a back up qb to what, 9 wins?  that's what mcd gets love for doing and backing into the playoffs w tyrod.

How about Doing Pederson?  Had a rough go in Jax but did beat Bill Bellyache and Tommy in a SB with his backup QB.

Is Chucky still suspended or something?  Maybe him.

tf are you people talking about lol

Cook was in on the last drive

He ran a wheel on Allen's scramble, checkdown in the flats on the Shakir incompletion, and then made one of the sorriest attempts at blitz pickup vs Tranquill I've ever seen on the batted ball to Samuel

Allen should demand to be traded and walk away from the McDermott ***** show

If he wants to win a Super Bowl he has to move on - McDemott and company are never going to get there

The same Josh that said the other day he thinks Coach McDermott a great coach who is underrated?  That Josh you mean?

Wake up man. You're dreaming.

Also, don’t forget that Jim Kelly wanted us to draft Tim Tebow.

Kincaid has fluid buildup in one knee, pcl injury in the other, and back surgery in college....

I wouldn't be shocked if they trade him for whatever while he still has perceived value.

Knox is entering his prime

Morris and Davidson are solid depth.
