So who are we hiring?  Throw darts at a dart board? If you're going to can McD it's because you think someone else can do better. Who is that person?

Pay me 9 million per year, and give me a large staff and a few weeks, and I will put together a list, with reasons explaining the pros and cons of each choice, vs McDermott

The only thing worse than watching Sean's over-rated scheme, is watching Beane & his worthless scouts fail miserably in finding 1 elite DL player. Overpaying for an aged out Von reeked of desperation. This team will experience this same playoff result for years to come.

You obviously missed my point. You and I have no clue who the Bills would/should hire, and it isnt up to fans to have the perfect candidate available in order to want a change.

Terry used a consulting firm to find McDermott. He needs to get them back on the line. The professionals with all the information will handle that part, just like they did before.

ANY top candidate would want to coach in Buffalo. We arent the Jets or Browns or Panthers.

Demanding a name from some amateurs doesnt change the fact that we need to get a new Head Coach.

I don't want pros and cons. I want names that would make sense for the Bills.

Calling for change but having no idea what change should be made other than saying fire the HC and replace him with ??? isn't a real solution.

That's a South Park underpants gnomes situation.

1. Steal underpants (Fire McD)

2. ????

3. Profit

The thing that makes my blood boil is that I know Bill Belichick would win a Super Bowl with Josh Allen.  I just know Bill would have answers in the biggest games.

McDermott should have been fired last year when Bill became available.

Belichick got lit up by the chiefs in the playoffs all the same but got bailed out by an OT coin and gave up a perfect offensive game to the bills with one of the leagues best defenses lol im not entirely sure that’s accurate at this stage of his career

No it isnt. We dont have that information. The information we all have is what we have seen with the current staff. And it needs to change.

The rest is on Terry.

Unless you want to link your posts from 2016 calling for McDermott.

If you are every on Wheel of Fortune and have a few extra bucks instead of buying a vowel, I would encourage you to buy a clue.

So you're saying you want Pegula to fire the coach that just lost by 3 in the AFCCG and hire some obscure coaching candidate in the waiting we know nothing about?

I wish you luck in this pipe dream.

So instead of giving even one name, you engage in personal attacks. Welcome to ignore buddy.

I now he wont right now. Even tho he should have in 2021. And probably should right now.

McD will get at least 1 more year, and I understand that. It's the safe move.

It's also the weak move that will waste yet another year of Prime Josh Allen, and we'll be right back in this type of thread same time next year.

How many more years of this should McD get in your opinion? 0-4 now. We wait until he's 0-6?

I still believe any decent coach can win with Allen.

I'm surprised how many people think we can only replace McD with some previously established head coach.

The 2009 Colts went from Tony Dungy to Jim Caldwell and finished 14-2 with a SB appearance. Caldwell had never been more than a QB coach

I am definitely in they are on the hotseat next year. But I repeat what I have said elsewhere the GM's seat should be significantly hotter of the two.

Historically they are viewed as joined at the hip ( a crazy concept to me, but a popularly held view) .   On the offensive side of the ball, its not clear any teams in the league have a better oline, QB, skills player combination.  While I don't love Joe Brady in the clutch, the Bills did lead the league in points per drive this season.  I don't really know that from a pure productivity standpoint we can improve from our number 1 position. (note Bills and Ravens gapped out from the pack, and both were about 40% above league average)

On the defensive side of the ball, the Bills players seem to fit such a specific profile that it is hard for me to imagine, that McDermott is not the architect of "the profile"
Assuming for argument sake he is the architect of the profile,  someone needs to determine if the profile is flawed, or if Beane can't find the right players for the profile.

You don't get the point.

AND others think serious fans, should have a rolodex of names to suggest.

They won't do it, but I'd be completely fine handing it over to Brady.

A Defensive HC who needs everything to be perfect on his Defense to not be the main reason we can't make a Super Bowl with Josh Allen just doesn't make much sense to keep going with any longer.

And postgame Josh Allen was the first time he looked like a guy who might not spend his entire prime career in Buffalo.   I doubt he leaves, but that 5% chance he could want out, is real to me now.  He looked different.. that wasn't aw shucks JA.  And maybe that's a good thing.

I'm not happy with McD and that isn't a recent change of heart. I've been saying what you and lot's of others have been saying for a couple years now and I don't know if a SB is ever in the cards for this team with McD at the helm.

Having said that, replacing the head coach should not be something you go doing half-cocked.  If you're going to do it, it should've already been a contingency plan in the works for plans with the way forward.  I don't think it's ever even been a discussion in the FO at this point and if you do it half-cocked, you're only inviting in disaster.

Other. I don’t think that a change can be made now. The good head coach candidates are gone and so are the quality staff members they are bringing with them. McDermott is a good coach and Beane is a good GM, but they aren’t the only people that can do those jobs well. I think things have to run their course and that’ll take a few more years. At this point we don’t have any other choice but to run it back so we might as well get behind them as much as we are emotionally capable.

Until Pegula is convinced a change is necessary, nothing else matters because in the end, his opinion is all that matters and I don't think he's anywhere near that point yet.
