Mat68 Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM I mean lack of caring is an easy cope. I think as a fan base each person dealt with the season ending at different points. Now it is a waterfall at once. Manning and the Colts went through it. Elway went through it. Farve went through it. I believe Allen is one of those players. At some point he carries the team to a Championship. Poetically, it happens next season at the end of High Mark/ Rich Stadium and open up the new High Mark as champions. You cant throw away a season full of great football and experiences because a fews days of getting over a loss. Quote

We have to be so much better to beat the Chiefs and the Refs on the road. I'm super disappointed but after seeing all the blown calls over and over again, I just lose all respect for the integrity of the game and the NFL. I don’t believe those calls would’ve changed at all at home to be honest with you lol Quote

If they never win one, so be it. The SB rings are for the players, the trophies are for the owner. The fans get no hardware we get the entertainment and you can have most of that even if they don't win the SB. I wish Steelers fans could read this. The most annoying fan base on Earth thinks they own the trophies. Edited 23 hours ago by DrBob806 Quote

What Bills fans have is truly unique in the NFL. When the Bills do finally win a SB........and I do think it will happen with Josh Allen.......it will come at some expense to our own character as a fan base. That's the trade-off and it's pretty much impossible to avoid it. Bandwagoners and self esteem seekers glom onto championships and they are the lowest form of fandom and dilute your fan base. 2 1 Quote

eball Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Good lord. We are a dropped pass away from being inside the 20 with a chance to score a TD and win the game -- with THIS defense -- and this is what you come away with? Massive defensive overhaul next season, get somebody with speed at WR, and we're right back there. The only defensive players I don't part with are Rousseau, Oliver, Epenesa (I guess), Milano, Bernard, Bishop, and Benford. Everyone else is fair game. Worse than the drought? You're smoking some good s-h-i-t. 2 Quote
without a drought Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Just follow the Sabres if you like drought times. I mean it's better than when they were in the finals and conference finals. Quote

Any hint of Indica, and I turn into a depressed, paranoid, miserable mess — kinda like the OP here… 1 Quote
K-9 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago What’s worse? Lemme see, 17 years of no playoffs and ZERO chance vs. six consecutive years of playoff births and at least a chance? Is this really a question? Maybe we need to appreciate the journey more and enjoy it for what it is. 1 Quote

The Frankish Reich Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago No, no, no, no, no! The drought years had some fun moments (most of them from hilariously bad football). But usually I was essentially done watching the Bills by Thanksgiving. They weren't really competitive, and the football was often ... boring. The last half dozen years have brought a lot of joy and entertainment value. My self-worth doesn't depend on my football team making or winning a Super Bowl. Following the Bills was something I was born into, but continuing to follow the Bills is something I do with more joy now that we are consistently in the mix. Thanks, Bills ownership, management, players, and fellow fans for another great season. Now let's get 'em next year. 1 Quote

In 2017 I was definitely put out by all the people jumping onboard out of nowhere, feigning heart attacks on social media etc.. People who had been on a Bills-free vacation for 15 years or so and then acted like they had been suffering week-in and week out for 17 years. Like where did all these f#ckers come from? But at least some of them are getting a taste of the medicine and earning some stripes with each failed playoff run. The objective of the game is to win one........but when they do win that SB things will never quite look or feel the same. The good fight will no longer be as noble. Some people think it will be like replacing nothing with something but there is always a cost. I expect some post partum confusion on TSW. It will be like our annual "is the game not fun anymore" posts from the dude's who don't realize their testosterone level just dropped. 1 Quote

It will be like our annual "is the game not fun anymore" posts from the dude's who don't realize their testosterone level just dropped. I've been watching this scenario oddly taking place on high-speed here in LA (where I've lived since '91). When the Rams first moved back here, I went to the first Bills game they hosted in 2016, and sat in the third row, at the 20yl for a couple hundred bucks a ticket. There were plenty of empty seats, and it sounded like a Bills home game. There really weren't any Rams fans to speak of, in the way we define fandom in Western NY. Just some folks going to a football game and rootin' for their team. It had more in common with Medieval Times dinner theatre and they were sat in the Blue and Gold section, so that's who they cheered for. But in '22, when they won their Super Bowl, you would have thought these "Rams fans" had been bleeding blue and gold their whole lives. Since then? Rams fans have been peeling away like old paint in the sun. 1 Quote
billsfan89 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago This is BS, the drought was the most unfun time to be a fan of this team. The team was utterly hopeless in the drought years, getting to the playoffs seemed a lot farther off than this current team winning a Super Bowl. Quote
