Look at the Brightside (pun intended) ; now that the Bills are "losers" in the eye of the media, maybe the f ing league/media/ad revenue machine cabal will leave the Bills alone and give up a few more 1pm home starts next season that we can enjoy! How's that?! 1 Quote
GunnerBill Posted Monday at 02:11 PM Posted Monday at 02:11 PM (edited) No way is it worse than the drought. Not a chance. Losing sucks. The less losing the better. It is devastating when you get close and fail. Nobody should just celebrate getting close. But people should always enjoy winning and hate losing. 8 minutes ago, ProcessTruster said: there you go. well said. Casey D Posted Monday at 02:16 PM Posted Monday at 02:16 PM Happiness is the gap between expectation and reality. If you expect nothing, you will never be disappointed, but life is dull. This one hurts the most because this team just seemed better and different. Thus, expectations were high. If we all did not care so much, it would not hurt so much today. But it's the journey, and we are blessed to have such a good team with a great bunch of guys. And maybe, just maybe, we reach the promised land one day. I may not get there with you, I've been doing this for nearly 60 years, but I would not exchange being a Bills fan for anything. Quote
Luka Posted Monday at 02:20 PM Posted Monday at 02:20 PM The drought doesn't end until the Bills win a Super Bowl. 35 years a fan and I'm starting to ponder how many die hard fans have passed on without ever seeing this team do anything but flounder in the biggest moments. Thankfully UFL and CFL are right around the corner. Go Argos! 1 Quote
Pete Posted Monday at 02:20 PM Posted Monday at 02:20 PM losing sucks. Do you like losing 14 games in a season? Been there, done that, repeat, etc. No thank you. I like to watch the greatest QB make amazing plays every game. I like bullying Baltimore. I love pummeling the AFC East. Did you live for 0 for the 70s Dolphins? Its pretty sweet dominating Dolphins year after year Quote

Seriously - where should the hope come from? - The goal is the Super Bowl. There are 30 failures every year. Some posters think the season was successful even without making it. My opinion on that doesn’t matter. Just look to Allen and McD. Did you see Josh Allen’s press conference? Do you think he thinks it was a successful season? Not a chance. He spoke all year about the goal. McD did too. I am a diehard Allen fan - watch almost everything he does. I have NEVER seen him that dejected. Ever. He barely spoke. The team knows the season was a failure. It doesn’t matter that we beat Miami in Week 3 or whatever. - Some posters think we should be thankful for getting as far as we do and just enjoy the ride. I honestly respect those posters and that line of thinking. I WISH I could understand it. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I try, I can’t get there. If anything, getting closer to the SB but not making it is worse in my opinion. Yeah, the Bills have an opportunity every year to win 3 playoff games and get there … but if we never do it, we’ll the actual difference between the Jets and the Bills is simply a worse draft pick. - How does one continue to get happy over the regular seasons triumphs, knowing that the postseason will bring yet another failure? Well, we typically turn to hope. But hope of what!? You can’t have soul crushing disappointment without hope. Hope is an invaluable part of any curse. Quote
zow2 Posted Monday at 02:27 PM Posted Monday at 02:27 PM This is still better than the drought. I mean look at some of us who are Sabres fans. That's to the point i don't even watch any hockey anymore. The sport has been ruined by a drought. I haven't thought about the actual opening of it much, but I am getting pumped about the new stadium. I think we need something fresh and uplifting. Like a new beginning while still having a good, competitive team. That first season in the new place will be a lot of fun. Quote

Nephilim17 Posted Monday at 02:31 PM Posted Monday at 02:31 PM This definitely hurts more than not making the playoffs — that's a ***** feeling but you never get your hopes up too much so the failures don't cut as deep. Quote
Aussie Joe Posted Monday at 02:37 PM Posted Monday at 02:37 PM (edited) I’ll be back next season with hope they can win the Championship There is a 90 percent chance they won’t do it though … Edited Monday at 02:38 PM by Aussie Joe Quote

Step 2- being prepared from the get go in a playoff game. They did it against Denver & Baltimore. Not so much yesterday. Hate to say it, but the Bills would get rolled by Philly. Not reaching this year's SB might actually have saved us more pain, believe it or not. I think Philly is a tougher match up for the Bills than KC. Edited Monday at 03:14 PM by DrBob806 Quote

The Firebaugh Kid Posted Monday at 03:18 PM Posted Monday at 03:18 PM It’s sad to say but I actually enjoyed the drought from the perspective of at least you didn’t have any dreams crushed. That being said I don’t ever wanna go back to that ***** L O L. 1 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted Monday at 03:24 PM Posted Monday at 03:24 PM There was a part of me last night where I thought, don’t even go back. I’m tired of being heartbroken. This defense is never going to be enough and it’s just asking so much of the offense and I can’t take it anymore. I think that was emotional but I definitely thought it. This ***** is dumb now. Quote

You are the guy in the BMW telling the homeless guy at the red light you would rather be in his position because your job is stressful. Honestly, there are 28 teams in the league that would kill to be in our position. KILL for it. Just because we lose to the best doesn't mean we dont get 18 weeks of highs to enjoy. Get outta here with this "Man, we are ONLY a great team, wahh" mentality. 1 Quote

At least I had more free time during the drought and one less thing to make me hate life. I got there with the Sabres after their 4-0 lead collapse against the Avs in November. I hope this game was the breaking point for me and the Bills. Probably not but I really wish it was. 1 Quote
