If Kincaid stays outside he easily gets the first. Ugh. I thought for sure he got it and Allen as well. But BOTH plays the refs had 2 different spots. It's so clown show, amateur hour bs Quote
ProcessTruster Posted January 27 Posted January 27 And frankly, while HOF coaches Spags and Reid brought the pain for sure, JA17 wasn't very good last night. Let's spread the criticism around to all the appropriate parties. Spags took the scramble away, and for whatever reason Josh simply wasn't his usual surgical self from the pocket last night. And the big bad O Line got handled in crunch time. They got worked by the higher talent, higher energy, HOF coached team last night. And they still almost pulled it off at the end. Go Bills. Watch it again. Shakir is at the 36 yard line running to his left, still 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage, when Josh is running the other way.. That really is the issue. The pressure was so immediate and forcing him to the right and backwards that I don’t think he thought he had time to be able to turn around and throw it left. Quote
Jerome007 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 For the 4th down missed by an inch controversy. Did Kincaid really miss the first down by a few inches on the previous play? Instead of hurrying to do another tush push, maybe they should have waited for the replay. Maybe he was a few inches short, yet, maybe not! What gets me on that 4th down one, is that they chose the ball position of the ref that decided it was short. The other ref clearly was in spot where it would have been first down. There was no video evidence to overturn the decision on the field... but why take one ref's position and not the other? Quote

But if he’s turning his body to the left to throw to Shakir he’s getting rocked and the ball is incomplete at best, fumble at worst. Speaking of schemes, why are we throwing a screen, something we’ve been awful at all year, to Cooper on a crucial and potential season defining 3rd & 10? How many more chances do we want to give our guys? ”they would have gotten it the next time” well if the defense was as awful as I’m reading, those whacky play calls shouldn’t have been attempted as they weren’t making another stop lol They maxed out forcing the FG And that isn’t sarcasm. Josh was having good connections with Hollins and Shakir down the field and it would have been better to go for that on the 2nd down (the play prior to that). Also not having Cook on the final drive didn't make any sense....Johnson was cold while Cook was having his best day running and CATCHING the football....Throwing a quick side to Cook gets us 5 yards every time....We really OUTSMARTED ourselves in that final drive.
