It's hard for people to accept, but Allen most likely wants out of this cluster.  He's most likely headed to an NFC team where he will win a superbowl, finally beating Mahomes.

Adding this, the Eagles would’ve have scored 100 points against the Bills defense. I’m not kidding. Book it.

24 hours later I have more questions than answers. 

 

1. If Kincaid was injured (pcl tear) why bother playing him at all in the last few weeks. I'm pretty sure Quinton Morris would have caught that last pass and the pass dropped against the Ravens. Not too mention he would have been much faster after the catch.

 

2. Why was Brady so cautious on that last drive? We had the ball in our hands to win the game against the defending champs. Josh needed to ball out. 

 

3. Why was Cook not really used on the last series? Especially on short passes out of the backfield on any potential blitzes.

 

4. Is the problem with this defense scheme? or personnel? They try hard but last night Rousseau, Epenesa, Jones etc were all non factors. Would another coach like Spagnuolo get any more out of this Bills defense than McD did?

 

5. I get that Bills were desperately hoping for a Von Miller miracle.  Aside from the easy fumble recovery vs the Ravens its been apparent for many weeks now that he is completely done, He is such a shadow of his former self, why even waste a down on him? Would none of the rookies have done better in the past couple of weeks as an edge rusher?

the problem is that josh still respects and listens to his elders and his coaches.    he's buying into everything they preach...

the problem for me is that since Dayboll there isnt a superior coach thats really going to teach josh anything new.   Once the training wheels 

came off they just gave josh a big push and said figure it out.   

i also think that with brady its all about running the ball....and while we def needed that aspect of the game...its coming at the detriment of the passing game.

They would’ve broke the Super Bowl record for rushing yards. Probably something like 350.

Detriment? not in this game, up 21-20, they got the killer instincts in mid 4th Qtr and abandon the run, go inverse of that and we would be buyin' ticets to NewOrlin'

It doesn’t matter what the score was. Game situations and context are more important. You can’t expect the defense to shut down a great offense with an elite QB. We can only hope to contain them enough to give the offense a reasonable chance of winning.

 

Yes the defense gave up 32. That’s a good thing at that point of the game. It wasn’t 36. We had 29. So the offense gets the ball back with 3 min left and a chance to win with a TD. Or the very least tie with a fg. This is the essence of a team game. KC’s defense do this all the time. Hold their opponents to within 1 score so Mahomes and their offense could win it in the waning minutes. And Mahomes usually comes through for them. That’s why they’re so good with close games. 
 

Our defense did that for the offense. Provided an opportunity for Allen and the offense to win. That’s all we could hope for. It just didn’t work out. So yes. Great job, defense! Especially Phillips with that clutch sack!

The Von Miller contract really set the D back a couple of years. Not establishing the run game in the first half was an atrocity as well.

Can I ask you a question. Will this defense ever do for Allen what the KC defense did for mahomes and win the AFC championship 17-10? How about Brady winning the Superbowl 13-3? Kelly an AFC championship 10-7.... How about 23-20?

 

Is your premise that Allen needs to score 35 -40 points to win a playoff game and then just let McDermott clap to the heavens for motivation? 

 

We all saw the number one seed on the line vs the rams and Allen scored 6 tds in 21 minutes. They lost ... I'm tired of this man

 

Tell me what exactly does McDermott do here? He's a pretty good leader, but so was dick jaroun.

Yup. 120 million dollar contract was a devastating mistake. Who knows what would be different but that's a terrible terrible mistake

Playoff woes?

Josh Allen has had the football in his hands to win the game the last 2 games vs the Chiefs. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Bills had the ball with a couple of minutes left and needed a score to tie or win. They didn’t. The defense didn’t have the ball, the offense did. Acting like all the blame is on the defense in a tight game like this is just silly.

KC had their best offensive production of the year in points and success rate .... They had 28 first Downs and were 6/10 on 3rd or 4th down 

 

This has happened every single year in the playoffs.
