The three losses 

Bills vs. Chiefs in the 2024 AFC Championship
Bills vs. Chiefs in the 2021 Divisional Round
Chiefs vs. Patriots in the 2018 AFC Championship

 

Josh Allen has 25 tds and 4 turnovers in 13 playoff games. 

 

Bills defense have now surrendered 38, 42, 27, and 32 points in all four of their losses to the Chiefs. What makes this STAT most alarming is each one of those scores was the most points the Chiefs scored that year in the playoffs. 

 

Bills have a defense issue and it is painfully obvious they will never win until this is addressed. Allen basically has to come out slinging immediately because his defense does not give him time to breathe. I've watched Mahomes, Brady, Burrow, Manning all struggle early in games only to win because their defense made multiple stops in the first half. Bills defense have serious problems against elite competition and this is year 5 of this mess.

We did make stops on defense. Most importantly, that last chiefs FG where Allen had a chance to win on the last drive.

i dont care what any1 says, this has gotta b gettin 2 em after 4-5years....

i could rant n rave for hours

simply put...if we want him 2 b a bill 4 eternity we find some better scouts n coaches

dump that soft vanilla zone d, get more then 1 4th n short play etc etc ....

im gonna stop b4 i set the defib off...

At some point, he will have to be the greatest man amongst us to not let bitterness and frustration with his teammates and coaching staff seep in.

 

To do what he does against the Chiefs in the playoffs and be 0-4, with the same issues plaguing the team/staff around him every time… I just don’t know how that doesn’t affect you negatively.

My biggest fear is Josh does a Stafford. Says stuff this before too long and goes and works with someone like McVay.

would it be too hard for josh to pass up a chance to play for the 49ers if this continues? don't take him for granted. there's no guarantee we get his whole career.

Amen.  The Chiefs marched down the field at will.  Even forcing the chiefs into a 3rd down seemed like a win for this sorry unit.  It’s beyond time to scrap mcdermott’s  defensive scheme.  That’s the only constant in all these losses.  The offense has evolved and made changes.  The defense is the same undersized, conservative, soft scheme.

Defense wins championships and the Bills is non-existent when it matters most. “But they held them to a fg on the last drive” some will say, they also allowed KC to score more points than they have all season…

It’s cool that they had a chance to win the game, but when you have a defensive minded head coach and your defense is a liability every, single, post season, it’s time to call a spade a spade. What exactly is McDermott bringing to the table if the defense isn’t ever elite? 
 

Josh is elite, and if your pouring all of your resources into the other side of the ball the way Beane has, they need to carry their weight and rise to his level, otherwise what are we doing here?

It's no more reasonable to laud a Defense that makes 3 stops on 8 of it's opponents possessions then it is to criticize an Offense that fails to score on 3 of its 8 possessions. The Bills O went up against the Chiefs strength which is their D and scored 4 TD's and 1 FG.  That was more then good enough to win if the defense had simply played an average game.  Instead they played a poor game and the Bills lost as a result.

End of the day the offence did enough to win but again our defence did not make enough plays. As long as McDermott is HC,  he will have a defence that has too many players that are either too small,  not fast enough.  Look at all the studs on the CHIEFS defence,  guys that are usually bigger and faster.  Yes forty times matter and I am so tired of Beanne talking about a player playing faster.  Both Beane and McDermott would have been fired long time ago if it were not for Allen

The Chiefs had a season high in points today.

 

The Bills scored the most points by an opponent visiting Arrowhead this season.

 

A game is 60 minutes long no matter how important a situation is in the last 2 minutes.

Defense fails us every year. Isn't this the most points KC has scored ALL year? You mean Raiders and Chargers can keep them under 20, but we can't? We're too finesse on D. Need to get bigger and stronger.

And it's a stretch to say the Bills D forced that fumble tonight.  It was Mahomes only real mistake of the night when he fumbled the fake hand off on 1st down.  Otherwise the Chiefs were going to score a TD on that drive.

Tonight is the first time ever, that i’ve wondered if he’d contemplate leaving Buffalo.  
 

I think we’d have a head coaching change first… at least I hope it would if McDermott continues on this path.
