zow2 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 The guy is like 8 feet tall, can he ever knock down a Mahomes pass?!? Quote
DeltaDigital Posted January 27 Posted January 27 depth. nothing more. changes nothing about the game. lost contain all night long on the mahomes runs... just not a difference maker whatsoever. Quote

Groot had 8 sacks and 3 of those came in the first game against the Cardinals. I'd keep him but AJ Epenesa needs to be gone. Expand Rousseau is a pure power end. He’s got no bend at all so he’s only going to be really effective if he has a rush edge opposite him. That way when the QB gets flushed to his side he can shed and sack. If we don’t have that rush edge, then this season is what we’re going to get. He’s turned into a good player for the role he has, but I question what that’s worth and where the market will be. I strongly suspect some team will overpay him if he makes it to FA after next season. I’m good with a properly valued extension now or letting him test FA next offseason. I will dig into numbers in the next few months. Not up for that today. 1 Quote

He's got elite length and is strong. He did a lot of his damage in college kicking inside which was not something he could realistically do all the time in the NFL. He's doing exactly what his skill set allows him to do. Expand then really never move him inside on pure passing situations. I’m surprised by that. Quote

But he’s not someone I pay big money for. The Bills need more difference makers. Groot is a fantastic piece to a rotation but he’s not the guy. Sadly he’s going to demand “the guy” money so much like Edmunds you gotta let him go. Expand Totally agree here On 1/27/2025 at 5:53 AM, gobills404 said: I don’t disagree. But like I said if Rousseau leaves that trouble is only gonna be even more serious. Expand Yes but at some point... good enough isnt good enough... this is a quandy... if they go get a stud edge and make him not the focus.. maybe this helps him.. but how do you do that if you are paying him 12mm a season. Bill51390 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I said it last year. He’s a good player, but not a difference maker. I would not spend big money on him. Ideally it would be nice to resign him to a cheaper deal and then go get us an actual difference maker. No one fears anyone on our defensive line. 1 Quote
Mr. WEO Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Greg Rousseau is a Day 1 starter, right off the bus... Quote

DapperCam Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Depends on the deal. I would play hardball for sure and not break the bank. He’s good, but he has games where he disappears. Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted January 27 Posted January 27 No way. Make him play his 5th year and let him leave. Hope he plays out his arss for a big contract and then let someone else pay him. Please move on from Epensa too. Quote
