How so many players came up small and we still only lost by a field goal is beyond me. Pretty remarkable when you think about it. Allen with an absolutely dreadful start. Von and Greg useless. Kincaid two drops. Elam abused. Keon and Cooper did nothing like usual. O line had their worst game of the year. And we lost by 3. Quote

He’s due for a contract..are you breaking the bank for him? Being 6'6, the Chiefs gameplan seem to be cutting his feet because he was on the ground on so many key plays. Quote
Saint Doug Posted Monday at 01:03 PM Posted Monday at 01:03 PM He can walk. Players who come up big in big games are the ones that deserve large contracts. 1 1 Quote

Can we hire the Rams defensive scout? They found rookies that provide better production than the Bills high priced JAGs. Quote

henry jones Posted Monday at 01:07 PM Posted Monday at 01:07 PM He's a one trick pony and his tricks are wearing out. Don't pay him 1 Quote
Chandler#81 Posted Monday at 01:10 PM Posted Monday at 01:10 PM He was good at Iowa -if that means anything. Pass. Quote
HamptonBillsfan Posted Monday at 01:44 PM Posted Monday at 01:44 PM Greg got cut by the tackle on every 3rd down passing play and was giving the edge. He killed us and had no pressure. Might be a problem making a long term commitment to him. Quote

I don’t think they’ll give him the contract he’ll command on the open market Quote
Billz4ever Posted Monday at 01:51 PM Posted Monday at 01:51 PM He's often worse than what Ed Oliver gets accused of....disappearing for games at a time, especially in big games. He's going to want big money and I just don't see it. This is another Tremaine Edmunds situation and I think we need to treat it that way. Quote
BillsPride12 Posted Monday at 01:51 PM Posted Monday at 01:51 PM Not a guy I want to break the bank for but the other part of this equation is who do you replace him with? The thought of this regime identifying defensive line talent terrifies me. Quote

But he’s not someone I pay big money for. The Bills need more difference makers. Groot is a fantastic piece to a rotation but he’s not the guy. Sadly he’s going to demand “the guy” money so much like Edmunds you gotta let him go. Is he though? I don't think his career has warranted him the ability to make high demands. He's not earning TJ Watt or Max Crosby money because he's not on that level even when he is healthy. He's scheduled to make $13M next year under the 5th year option. I think they can work out a longer term deal that secures him at a cheaper AAV in the $9M-$11M a season range. And I'm fine with that amount. He's a quality rotational piece. 1 Quote
TFBillsfan Posted Monday at 02:03 PM Posted Monday at 02:03 PM Unfortunately, our DL consist of numerous role players. This is the root of many issues. Beane and McDermott have thrown tons of resources in draft capital and FA, and have pretty much whiffed on all of them. When you miss that much, it causes ripple effects in the roster. In addition, our secondary needs a substantial upgrade in talent. Hamlin/Rapp are below average. Bishop is gonna need to take a MAJOR step in his second season. Douglas and Benford are okay but rarely get an interception. DT, DE, CB and S are pressing needs. He has to do better at finding impact players. IMO, KC continues to draft better than Buffalo and that has to change! Quote
Livinginthepast Posted Monday at 02:11 PM Posted Monday at 02:11 PM Like a few of the Bills of the past few years on defense, I have always wondered with Rousseau if its a coaching problem, a scheme or his technique. He shows flashes of brilliance now and again but never is consistent. Would it have been any better under a different defensive coach? Like so many of our players, he has the athletic ability but seems to lack the in game smarts to adjust when things aren't working. Quote
Aussie Joe Posted Monday at 02:17 PM Posted Monday at 02:17 PM What’s the going price for 6 sacks a year and looking like a JAG when the playoffs roll around ? Wont be $24m per year …. So if he wants that then go and hit up the Titans or Jags Quote
K D Posted Monday at 02:18 PM Posted Monday at 02:18 PM Every time KC had a big play to the outside, there's Groot stuck inside not containing the play. For his size he plays like a little person. Very disappointing. Don't re-sign him, cut Von, go after Myles Garrett or someone who can make a difference 1 Quote
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 Posted Monday at 02:27 PM Posted Monday at 02:27 PM I thing in a different defensive system he would have monster stats but I'm not a fan of this strategy at all. Groot had 8 sacks and 3 of those came in the first game against the Cardinals. I'd keep him but AJ Epenesa needs to be gone. 1 Quote
