Josh flat out blew it tonight. How many quarterbacks have put together a career defining drive in that moment? But not Josh Allen. I love the guy but it was in his hands to put the team on his back, go get the touchdown, and carry the team to the Superbowl. He didn’t! I predict you will incur the wrath of the “Josh can do no wrong” crowd … truth is, that final drive was mismanaged from its inception. How much of that is on Josh, coaching, other players or ancient Indian curses is yet to be determined. 1 1 Quote
jethro_tull Posted Monday at 11:21 PM Posted Monday at 11:21 PM NO. The Chiefs D schemes, players and coaching was superior and deserved the win. Our play calling was too predictable. 1 1 Quote

So it's quite difficult to say either way whether Mahomes is vastly better than Josh. Mahomes has the benefit of an O Line (albeit so did the Bills... until yesterday), receivers, coaching and a defense to keep the Chiefs in games if the offense isn't clicking - see the regular season. 1 Quote

You vastly overrate Mahomes WRs compared to ours. Rookie worthy, washed JuJu and Hopkins, injured Hollywood (who is very overrated). Cook was the second best offensive player last night. Quote

If we stretch to receivers also including tight ends - Kelce? Though the Bills seem to play him well for some reason. Perhaps that leads to others being able to separate. Quote

Kelce had 2 catches. Without Mahomes, that is a garbage offense. Quote

I'm not denying Mahomes isn't a great. Just there isn't a vast difference between him and Josh. Unfortunately the biggest deficit Josh has as a person over Mahomes is his nerves. Sometimes they can take over and, being so reliant on him on offense, it can hurt the Bills badly. Quote
toto8 Posted Monday at 11:53 PM Posted Monday at 11:53 PM Josh Allen chocked IMHO yes, let me explain why I think this way. protection was to slide L, JA ran right. Maybe run to were you sent your guys to protect you. He snapped the ball with 17 secs left, why not wait until the last second to maybe get a better idea of the defensive play called. There were 15 yds to go to get in FG range, this is the most important play of the game, one that will end your season or take you to the SB why not wait until the last second and call a TO (we had 3 left) I know I am a keyboard warrior, a looser, a dumb football fan that knows nothing, don't care what you say, have been a fan for over 35 years and I love this team and I love Josh Allen but he is not clutch when it matters. He hasn't been for the last 2 playoff loses. Other issues are. Brady kept calling the sneak all the time, yes, but it was up to him to try and run it right instead of left all the ***** time. He was scared all game long, every time the broadcast had a closeup on him he looked like it, not optimal when you need an MVP type of game from your MVP QB. 1 Quote

There was a shot of him coming off the field on a time out and I said “oh 💩 that’s glassy eyed Josh, he’s not the one we need to win this.” He wears his heart on his sleeve so you can easily tell which Josh is in-game. 1 Quote

I would say on the last drive or 2 when Spags was totally sagged in to stop the run and we didn't go to play action for some throws downfield was a coaching choke. Hopkins and Juju have also had distinguished careers and been in a lot of big games. Hollywood Brown is a deep threat (and nothng else) who spaces for everyone else. As a group, with Worthy's speed, it's ok in a win or go home game. Edited Tuesday at 02:46 AM by VW82 Quote

zow2 Posted Tuesday at 03:16 AM Posted Tuesday at 03:16 AM Anyone else seen that graphic of all NFL team point differential since 2020? The Bills are so far ahead it’s like they lapped the field. This era Bills will go down as the best 5 years in NFL history to never make a SB appearance. Makes me mad, but they’ve had an excellent run of success. 1 Quote

harmonkillebrew Posted yesterday at 12:54 AM Posted yesterday at 12:54 AM Josh didn't choke, but man Mahomes, Reid and Spags are CLUTCH. That's the difference. Take one of those guys off the Chiefs and we've probably won a SB or two by now. At least Kelce is getting old. Maybe that gives us a shot moving forward. But we need to upgrade on D and O still to have better talent to overwhelm their clutch-nees Quote
